I wanted to give an honorable mention to Selah Parker Selah Parker 5’7″ | CG Bishop O’Connell | 2024 State VA because she’s an outstanding player. She is a fantastic defender and racks up steals with her instincts and athleticism.
Zoe Myslewicz Zoe Myslewicz 6’3″ | PF The PotomacSchool | 2024 State VA is a double-double machine. She had ten last year and will top that in her senior season. Zoe moves very well for her size, which helps her get her hands in many passing lanes. She has a good post-game, and her energy is always good. She’s not afraid of contact and uses her 6’3″ frame to impose her will in games.

Last year Riley’s biggest contribution to PVI was her defense. They stuck on her as the opposing team’s best perimeter player, and she often did a fantastic job at limiting whoever she was guarding. I expect her offensive responsibility to be more significant going forward, and it’s something to look out for. Riley’s a pretty good driver and finishes through contact nicely, so if she can add a consistent jump shot, she will be a fantastic offensive player.
Potomac School is going to be very good moving forward, and a lot of why I feel that way is Catherine LeTendre Catherine LeTendre 6’1″ | CG Potomac School | 2025 State VA . Catherine is a combo guard with elite size. She is a total matchup nightmare, and I expect this weekend to be significant for Catherine, considering she missed so much time last year for Potomac.

PVI PG Sadie Shores Sadie Shores 5’10” | CG Woodgrove HS | 2024 State VA should have an excellent senior season. She is a good passer, has a very solid mid-range game, and is a high-IQ basketball player. She will have to elevate her game in her senior year, and I am sure she will.
Laura is the number 1 ranked rising senior in Virginia, and she’s the only player on this list nationally ranked in the top 100. As a rim protector and overall interior defender, Laura is excellent. She uses her length excellently and blocks a bunch of shots. Laura has a good post-game and rebounds high on both ends. Laura started to shoot threes a little toward the end of her Junior year, so I am interested to see if that’s something she consistently adds to her game. If she does, she’ll be even more unstoppable than she is now.
