played a massive part in it. Knocking down threes herself and finding teammates helped Woodgrove put in a VHSL record 259 threes. Sadie helped unlock this Woodgrove offense and showed herself as a true PG.

decided to transfer back to Woodgrove, it was obvious that they’d be an absolute force. They have run through teams and have yet to play competitive games. At 8-0 they look like one of the best public schools in the state.

just had a season where she was the starting PG for one of the best teams in the DMV. Playing in the WCAC against the best of the best and doing it as well as she did was super impressive. Sadie now comes back to Woodgrove, and her role changes. Her points will be more critical here, and I think she delivers on that. Sadie does everything well. She plays defense, rebounds well, makes plays for others, and can knock down jump shots. Sadie is one of the best Seniors in the state and should have a huge year.

is one of the best players in the 2024 class. But what she does well for PVI fits into this category nicely. At Woodgrove, the first few years of high school, she was what you would consider a traditional star. She scored a lot, and the offense ran through her. Now with better talent around her, Sadie is putting up fewer big-scoring games, but she does all the other things at such a high level. Her distribution and ball handling are top-notch; she defends exceptionally well and is a terrific rebounder for a guard. Adaptability and portability are essential and underrated!

should have an excellent senior season. She is a good passer, has a very solid mid-range game, and is a high-IQ basketball player. She will have to elevate her game in her senior year, and I am sure she will.

played a significant factor. Sadie always plays 100% and runs that PVI offense. She is excellent at getting downhill and has a fantastic midrange game. She’ll return next year and is expected to build on a tremendous season.

The Catholic Crusaders have a tremendous defense, and the game was a dogfight because of it. What gave PVI such a comfortable second-half lead was that they were getting better shots than the crusaders, which has to do with

is a calming presence for PVI and an intelligent basketball player. She is one of the best guards in NOVA and showed why all year. She makes the right pass and initiates a lot of PVIs offense. She has a solid mid-range game and can knock down open shots. People expected a lot of Shores before the season started, and she lived up to it.

is a fantastic basketball player, and it shows in her facilitating a lot. The importance of a simple swing pass gets lost sometimes. Many young guards tend to over-dribble and miss out on an open shot because they don’t want to make the hockey assist.

does a great job with making these types of passes. She makes the right pass every time, and although simple, it’s very effective in getting open looks for players.
