Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Raeann Massey Raeann Massey 5'7" | PG Fort Calhoun | 2027 NE – 2027 – Fort Calhoun High School – NE Attack 15U UAA
Raeann Massey Raeann Massey 5'7" | PG Fort Calhoun | 2027 NE is a 2027 guard that comes into high school as a multi-sport athlete with a lot of promise. A player who works hard, stays dedicated to the sport in her off-seasons, and is easy to get along with on the court. Currently, Calhoun plays up on Nebraska Attack UAA 15U and holds her own on a regular basis. This winter I would love to see her come in and show her potential right away on a varsity floor but she understands she will need to earn those minutes. Even if not, I expect a nice high school career from this one in the long run.
Addalyn Rooney Addalyn Rooney 5'6" | PG Millard North | 2028 IA – 2025 – Millard North High School – NE Attack 16U UAA
Addalyn Rooney Addalyn Rooney 5'6" | PG Millard North | 2028 IA is a wing player that can catch and shoot with the best of them, as well as take her opponent off of the dribble and get all the way to the basket for a finish by herself or an open teammate. Rooney displays great shot form. She catches with a balanced stance, hands ready, and eyes up. She also knows that the further out that she shoots, the more she needs to drop her legs down for the most accurate shot attempt possible. When it comes to defense, she is a stingy defender with active hands and feet. She is always causing tips or deflections in the open court to help get her team the ball back. This high school season I hope she can continue her momentum from AAU ball into the year. Something more than do-able for a player like herself.
Skylar Johnson – 2027 – Bennington High School – ETG Midwest
Skyler Johnson comes into her high school career with a lot of potential. Johnson is a lengthy and athletic guard, who is smooth with the ball in her hands. She can create off the catch or dribble and isn’t afraid to step back in attempts to make a jump shot from deep, if the defense gives her an opening. Once Johnson understands how much better she is then some of the players around her, she will realize how dominate she can be. With a little bit of confidence in the work she puts in, she will become a really good player overall. A player that could see the floor at a successful college one day, after her high school career comes to an end if she sticks with it.
MaCardyn King – 2026 – Westview High School – OSA Crusaders
MaCardyn King played varsity as a freshman and put up some nice numbers. On the season she averaged just over 7.5 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 1 APG, and 1.2 SPG. Not a bad year when you are talking about a player just coming into high school and figuring out who she is within this program. Like most girls her age, King is another multi-sport athlete who has a bright future on the softball field, as well as the basketball court. It’ll be interesting to see in her high school career if she ends up locking in on just one sport or if she will continue her domination of many. We will just have to wait and see.
Jayla Wilson Jayla Wilson 5'8" | PG Bellevue East | 2025 State NE – 2025 – Bellevue East High School – NE Supreme 2024
Jayla Wilson Jayla Wilson 5'8" | PG Bellevue East | 2025 State NE is a player out of the 2025 class in Nebraska that everyone knows. She is an electric athlete with high energy and a great demeanor when she takes the floor. She can do a plethora of things to help her team pull out a victory in the end of a contest. This last live session in July and leading up into the high school season, I expect Wilson’s interest to gain coming from the college level. She is a guard with a good size and skill. When she keeps everything simple is when she is at her best and that’s most of the time. I’ll be around to see her in a few weeks and I’m expecting some fundamental basketball with spurts of her own flare thrown into the mix.
