Chloe Woodson-5’5 G (Carver Middle School) EYG ‘ last=”] 2028 [2028] Oklahoma
Woodson caught my eye I guess 3 seasons ago and I dropped the #D1Lock on her. I recall having a chat with her grandmother and she was telling me how Chloe loved to work, at the crack of dawn or even at night and I told her “Those are things you can’t teach” and her mindset is she wants t be in the mix. Well, she is, after picking up her first D1 offer after attending a school camp yet peep this, her explosiveness off the dribble is ahead of her years as she will be a “nightmare to defend”. The FLOATA, the acrobatic finishes as well as the mid to long-range are there, and so is her ballhandling and court vision under pressure. She plays solid defense and yes,m that includes “playing the passing lane”
Katy Irons-Buettner-5’4 G (Lincoln North Star) VRLY Storm 2027 [2027]Nebraska
Irons-Buettner is heady and stays under control yet she also understands how to run a team and control the tempo. Her seeing the floor in the set is nice yet watching her thread the needle going full speed in the open court with blazing passes by defenders for assists spoke volumes. She understands how to create her shot using a deceptive first step and watching her attack and finish not only after contact but using very nice body control told me on the opening day she would be on this list. Her creativity also got her spacing to get her shot off which she dropped from outside but she also showed she could “catch and shoot” with a hand in her face. Her playing the passing lane was the icing on the cake for me
Hazel Iefoma-5’10 PF Jenks Public Schools) Identity Elite 2027 [2027] Oklahoma
Iefoma gets the #THROWBACK hashtag for being RELENTLESS and going after the ball off the rim. I come from an era where certain things were common so yes, I get pumped seeing things from yesteryear. Again, I love things you can’t teach and DESIRE is one of them as she has the “you won’t outwork me” mentality as she even dove for loose balls on the floor as well as in the ait, aka playing the passing lane. She also finished strongly in the paint, at times with players literally hanging on her back, so that gives you an idea about her strength. Her interior defense was also solid yet she used her athleticism, she’s STRONG and ATHLETIC, to step outside the paint and guard her man
Jalyn Brown-5’8 G/F ( Benton) Southside Elite 2027 [2027] Missouri
Brown showed me a lot on opening day and she was a fan favorite as I was told by one of my colleagues that a group of 15U players stated she was one of the best at the event. I initially saw a long and athletic player with a nice pull-up jumper that rebounded and showed good timing yet technical difficulties on my wraparound coverage had me miss some of her. On day 2, she dropped the mic and showed she could not only rebound and go C2C to score, coast to coast, but she also saw the floor extremely well in transition. Her decision-making makes her a multiple threat as she understands how to get the defender to lean before attacking but her jumper will create major problems as she progresses
Kiasia Allen Kiasia Allen 5'5" | CG The Independent School | 2027 State KS -5’4 CG (Independent) B2B ‘ last=”] Elite B2B Kansas Bluejays Miller 2027 Miller [2027] Kansas
Allen was another player the “committee” loved but she had already sold me after game one as her multiple ways to score kept me hitting rewind on the computer. Her blistering passes in traffic, some of the no-look variety were very nice, not because she passed them but because she set her teammates up for easy looks. Her ability to create for not only her but her teammates as well is going to take her a long way, she uses her body to overpower the defender off the dribble, and she has a nice jumper yet her body control while attacking with either hand had me SMH. She also played solid defense, both in the set as well as “on the ball” baseline to baseline yet watching her dive on the floor JUST DID IT for me
