The way they were swinging the ball around the perimeter to get an open shot really stood out. There were no individuals. They played as a team and it led to a 6-1 record in the TOC Chicago tournament.
Annie has a lot of upside as a post player who is active and athletic. She has a beautiful drop step move on the block and finishes with the left hand extremely well. She doesn’t force it and is makes good decisions, kicking it out to open players on the perimeter. She runs the floor well and can finish at a high level, both in the open floor and on the block. She is versatile and can guard well with her size and quickness. She also displays a nice touch on her jumper, especially from 17 feet and in. High ceiling, skilled frontcourt player.rn
Highlights
Naveah is one that always seems to make the right pass, often times creating off the dribble and dropping it to the post or kick outs. She has a quick first step and is able to get into the lane where she also has a nice floater she uses. She is a good ball handling guard. She didn’t play the point all the time but displays point guard characteristics. She made some great passes, both on the break and within the half court. She is a capable three point shooter, she rebounds despite being the smallest player on the floor and is scrappy on defense. A good understanding of the game and a big part of the excellent ball movement this team showed.
Lia is probably the most skilled offensive player on this team. She has the ability to create on her own and shoots it really well from three. She probably could have scored more but once again this team moves the ball and gets good looks. She was no exception. Her mid-range game is good with some soft floaters and craftiness with the ball. Talented and skilled guard who is on the rankings riser watch list.rn

An important part of this team providing size and strength in the paint. She holds down the paint on defense and does a good job of not fouling and guarding straight up. She got a lot of rebounds and scored on the block when she was open. She also doesn’t force things and will kick out to the perimeter. She was big with some offensive rebounds and put backs as well.
Apparently playing with a broken hand didn’t stop her from being the primary ball handling guard when she was in the game. She has good handles and is strong with the ball. She made the extra pass several times to open teammates. She has deep range on her shot and can get hot in a hurry. I’m sure the hand didn’t help but she can really shoot it. When she gets into the lane she is strong and under control, finishing at the rim. A smart player who doesn’t get rattled easily.rn
Ashlyn is a great shooter who can knock down shots from all over the floor. She plays either guard spot and handles the ball well enough to be effective at the point. She had some hustle plays that stood out on loose balls and rebounds. She is another that can score at a high level but this team shares the ball so well everyone gets in on the action.rn
