The Orlando Splash kicked off the second evaluation period in July in Orlando and several Florida Players were named to the All-Tournament team.
2024 Aqua Division
Sofie Mendez ( Miami Suns GNation 17U Gold)
Mendez helped GNation to a championship playing heavy minutes and being both a shot creator as well as a scorer. Seeing her live a couple times, I saw her lean more to being the distributor while also displaying her strong offensive skill set, high basketball IQ, and ability to knock down open 3s.
Jadah Toombs Jadah Toombs 5'7" | PG Fort Myers | 2024 State FL ( FGB ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] Elite 17U Teal)
Toombs is always a favorite to watch. She plays with supreme energy, and is and aggressive penetrator with the ball in her hands. She is a live body that plays with an active bounce on both ends of the floor. She is a true point guard with solid handle, excellent 1v1 moves, and a solid outside shot.
2024 Blue Division
Karishma Ortiz Karishma Ortiz 5'9" | PG Timber Creek | 2024 State FL ( FGB ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] Elite Black)
Ortiz played all three positions for FGB ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] Elite Black at the Orlando Splash. The big guard handled the ball vs pressure, distributing the ball to scorers by encouraging ball movement and making the extra pass to scorers on the wing and on the interior. She uses her length to pass over the top of defenses as well as score over the top of defenders from the perimeter and at the rim.
2025 Aqua Division
Jalynn Belton Jalynn Belton 5'10" | SF Miami Country Day | 2027 State FL ( Miami Suns Select)
Belton is a big, strong, versatile perimeter player who played exclusively wing. Her advanced skill set and versatility as well as her unique strong, solid build really stand out as she played in the 2025 division as a class of 2027 prospect. She shoots the ball well from 3, is a threat with the ball in her hands and stays ready and spaces the floor without the ball.
2026 Aqua Division
Nakhai Worthy Nakhai Worthy 6'1" | SF Holy Innocents' | 2027 State GA ( FGB ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] George) *From Georgia
Worthy, a 2027 prospect played up in the 2026 Aqua division for FGB ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] George, and stood out for her exceptional athleticism and versatility. Her stellar play showcased that she should be considered one of the top players in the 2027 class. At 6’1, Worthy has the ability to play inside and out. She can advance the ball to start transition after grabbing offensive rebounds. She played aggressive and hard, competing each possession. She has quick hops with a big vertical, skying above opponents and grabbing boards, as well as getting to the free throw line often.
