When a player shows what they’re made of at a big event, they can certainly be described as “statement makers”. Yesterday we looked at some of the statement makers at Run 4 The Roses and today we’ll look at some more players that showed off their games in Kentucky.
Check out Part 1 below!
We included Goudy in an article listing a few players to watch at Run 4 The Roses. She definitely held up her end of the bargain. Goudy showed the ability to create opportunities and score the ball in dynamic yet physical fashion.
Burley continued her statement summer in Kentucky. She showed the ability to keep the clock running on the offense. Burley did her damage taking the ball to the rim and finishing in traffic and otherwise. She was very good from beyond the arc as well.

Wright missed the first part of grassroots season due to a broken clavicle. Don’t let her slip under the radar though because she showed at Run 4 The Roses that she’s a high energy and high influence player. She showed versatility in backcourt playing effectively on and off the ball. Wright stood out specifically in a 16 point game via 4 triples.
Highlights
Abney definitely sent a message at Run 4 The Roses. She scored in almost every way possible from triples, to fast break finishes, to floaters with touch. She did it all. All of this, and Abney was also a leader on the floor, an excellent defender and showed that she could handle primary ball handling responsibilities.

Yea so down in Kentucky, Farr did Farr things. She can flat out score when her team needs her to. Two games in particular stood out. Farr dropped 4 three’s on her way to a 26 point game. In the second contest she buried 5 triples on her way to a 21 point game. Both of these big games were in hard fought victories.

Hufstedler probably put her name on the map for multiple college coaches over the weekend. She’s a physically strong player that can battle on the glass off the wing. Hufstedler shot the leather off the ball in Kentucky. Top of the key, corner 3, off the bounce, off the catch….didn’t matter because she buried it. Her weekend was highlighted by a 28 point game.

Next tax season I’m going to have to file a spending report entitled “Dillard” for all the ink and paper I’ve used. Once again, she stood out. Dillard has been one of the most consistent players in the state dating all the way back to the beginning of the calendar year.

Baker was one of the most talented players at Run 4 The Roses. Period. She’s had a tremendous grassroots season and she kept that trend going over the weekend. Baker averaged 23.5 points per game in Kentucky. Her weekend was highlighted by an electric 36 point game. She went 7-9 from behind the arc in that contest.
