After film review, Aylah was deserving of Co-MVP of the showcase. She was dominant, showing off her scoring, passing, defense. She did it all. She was great at changing speeds and getting by the defense. More so blowing by the defense with ease. She had a reverse finish on one that looked natural. It wasn’t something you see from many freshman. She consistently found teammates for open looks.. In a showcase. She understood that is as important as scoring. She is lightning quick when she needs to be and that is on both ends of the floor. She made deep threes. She should be an immediate impact player for Gonzaga Prep in 2024. rn
Highlights
Dilyn Boeck
Dilyn Boeck
Dilyn was in the same backcourt with Aylah and it made for a great one. She could have very well made 1st team all tournament. She is a well rounded player. She is lighting quick. She handles the ball well and had some great looks to open teammates for buckets. She shoots it well from three. Her floor vision and IQ really stood out. A player who seemed to make the right plays in all phases of the game. Not only that, she makes decisions on the fly, which speaks to the high basketball IQ. Immediate impact player. rn
Sienna Olson
Sienna Olson
Sienna has good size and played hard. She got a handful of rebounds and was able to get some buckets inside with the length. She made at least one three, showing some versatility. She has good footwork and runs the floor. She is one who will make as much improvement as time spent on it. As with any player I say high ceiling with, they need to be in the gym.
Jaycee Harrison
Jaycee Harrison
Jaycee plays hard and has good athleticism and speed. She is a capable ball handling guard, although she is versatile enough to play just about anywhere. At least in this tournament. She made a few threes. I see that potentially being a weapon for her. As freshman, what I see with lots of players depends on how much time they are going to spend working on their games. High energy player.
Emma Curtis
Emma Curtis
Emma played with a lot of energy, making things happen. She was all hustle, all the time. She rebounded, got steals, and played tough defense. She is fast and athletic with length. Those things all translate to a player who can impact a game without scoring a point. She did show some ability to get into the lane and scored in the paint. rn
