Gresham Community
Madolyn Haffner was the Player of the Year in the Northern part of the Central Wisconsin Conference, and she’s back for her senior season. Haffner led the conference in scoring and assists in her junior season to lead the Wildcats to a perfect 8-0 conference record to earn her team a conference title. Gresham will likely continue to lean on her in her final high school season.
Northland Lutheran
The only group with two first-team all-conference performers last season has one of those two back in Josslin Adams. The Wildcats’ only two conference losses came to eventual champions Gresham. Northland Lutheran have an uphill battle to unseat them next season. However, having Adams back for her junior season gives them some experience coming back for a group that’ll need Adams to be the best version of herself if they want to push Gresham this season.
Bowler
The Panthers have a unanimous first-team all-conference selection back. Senior Isabella Stevens Isabella Stevens 5'10" | PF Bowler | 2024 WI is back for Bowler and will be the go-to athlete for Bowler this coming season. The senior averaged a double-double last season with 12 points and 11 rebounds per game, and her consistency will be key this coming season. Stevens’ ability to own the area around the basket will be crucial in the Panthers’ season as a small school rebounding and earning extra possessions are critical.
Marion
The Mustangs are a group looking to continue to build over time. The wins and losses aren’t necessarily as significant as creating an environment for kids to improve and enjoy doing it. Although everyone wants to win, if kids want to be there. Eventually, kids will come through and give the Mustangs a team to compete for the conference, but it’s all about the culture.
White Lake
I hope White Lake can field a team for the whole season this coming year. I wish them nothing but the best.
Tigerton
The Tigers are much like Marion in that creating a positive environment will be critical. The more positive the environment, the more ready the program is to compete when a group of kids comes to Tigerton to compete for conference titles and beyond. There’s always a chance in small-school basketball.
