Midwest Madness had no shortage of young talent, and the 12U division brought a ton of energy all weekend in New Berlin. From knockdown shooting to tough interior play to guards who kept defenses on skates, this group had some real gamers in the gym. These five players stood out for the way they impacted the game in different ways, whether it was by making big shots, setting the tone defensively, creating for teammates, or bringing nonstop effort every possession. Here's a closer look at five 2032 prospects who made their presence felt and showed why they are names worth knowing.

Hannah brought serious toughness and pace every time she stepped on the floor. She may not be the biggest guard out there, but she plays with a motor and confidence that instantly stands out. She is shifty with the ball, athletic in space, and does a really nice job turning small openings into real advantages. Once she gets a step, she is aggressive attacking the paint and puts pressure on the defense as a slasher. Her playmaking was one of the biggest strengths in her game this weekend. She did a great job creating quality looks for teammates and showed the ability to read defenders on the move. She is the kind of guard who can keep an offense organized while still being a threat herself. Defensively she was active and disruptive, always hunting steals and making opponents uncomfortable. One thing that also stood out was how vocal she was. She plays loud, communicates constantly, and brings energy that lifts the entire group around her. Hannah is just a baller, plain and simple.

Dopler was one of the most confident scorers I watched at the event. She is a fearless shooter who never looked rattled, even when contests got tighter and the game sped up. What jumped out right away was her ability to knock down tough shots, especially from deep. I saw her hit multiple stepback threes in traffic. That is not something you expect at this level but she made it look natural. What makes her even more intriguing is that she is not just a standstill shooter. She moves well without the ball, understands how to find open windows, and consistently puts herself in spots where she can hurt the defense. That off-ball activity gave her clean looks throughout the weekend. On top of that, she showed that defenders cannot sell out to stop thee jumper because she can put it on the floor and get downhill too. Phoebe plays with edge, plays hard and has that dog in her. She was one of the more fun watches of the weekend.

Becker stood out with how well she attacked off the dribble. She is a really solid driver who plays with confidence and does not get discouraged by contact. That toughness showed up when she got into the lane. She was willing to challenge defenders, absorb bumps, and still finish plays. For a guard at her size, that kind of fearlessness is a big deal. What I liked most about Lilly's game was that she played with purpose. When she saw a lane, she took it. When the defenses gave her a chance to get downhill, she made them pay. She looked comfortable creating pressure on the rim and showed good body control as a finisher. Guards who can consistently collapse the defense are always valuable, and Lilly flashed that ability during the event. She brought toughness, attacked with intent, and showed that she can be a real problem when she gets downhill.

Danen gave her team a strong and steady interior presence throughout the event. She did a really good job owning space around the rim and making life difficult for opponents trying to finish inside. Her timing as a shot blocker stood out, and she came away with multiple bocks by staying active, engaged, and contesting plays without backing down. Offensively, Claire showed she can finish around the basket, and capitalize when she gets touches in close. She plays with purpose around the rim and did not shy away from contact. Her motor also deserves real credit. She kept working, battling, and brought effort possession after possession. That kind of consistency matters, especially in tournament settings where energy can dip over the course of a long day. Claire plays hard, competes through the whistle and gives her team a reliable physical presence in the paint.

Klapperich made her mark with toughness and physicality. She was the type of player who made every possession feel a little more intense because of how hard she competed around the basket. Her willingness to crash the glass on every shot attempt stood out right away. She did not take plays off, and she consistently put herself in position to battle for extra possessions. Rebounding is one f those things that can completely shift momentum, and Grace brought that kind of impact. She played with strength, embraced contact, and made opposing players work anytime they were in her area. There is a lot to like about a young post player who already understands how to play physical and bring effort as a real weapon. Grace's activity level and presence around the glass gave her team an edge, and she looked like a player who affects winning with the stuff that coaches love.
