Dangler proved effective as a ballhandler, showcasing her quick processing speeds on either end of the floor. The guard boasted very strong hands, ripping the ball away on quite a few occasions from opposing rebounders. She displayed value as a help defender, consistently in position to stunt driving lanes.
Annabel Downing Annabel Downing 5'5" | PG Highlands Ranch | 2027 State CO – Highlands Ranch
Downing was effective scoring around the rim in tight angles, displaying confidence as a ball handler. The guard was active as a slasher along the baseline, converting a few reverse finishes under the rim out of these situations. Following teammate rebounds, the guard was effective handling the rock in the fullcourt, keeping her eyes up for the next decision.
Cortlyn Yaussi – Loveland
Yaussi will be an impactful player down the line, given her confluence of passing skill and shotmaking versatility within the backcourt. Styanding right around 5’6, the guard was an effective faciliator in the halfcourt or fullcourt, rarely rushing passing decisions. An equally effective skill for Yaussi was her shooting ability. PRoving to have a versatile shotmaking repertoire, the guard got to pull-up threes following the ball screen or remained shot ready off the catch from the weak side.
Izzy Howard Izzy Howard 5'8" | SG Frederick | 2027 State CO – Frederick
Howard was constantly seeking opportunities in transition, most often sending outlet passes out to sprinting teammates. Once in the halfcourt, the guard was shot ready off the catch, stepping into a few threes and mid-range shot attempts throughout the day.
Reyna Martinez – Skyview
Martinez displayed soft touch on shot attempts around the rim, capable of getting up high arcing floaters above immediate contests.
Evilyn Morwood Evilyn Morwood 5'6" | SG Ralston Valley | 2027 State CO – Ralston Valley
Morwood exemplified a team first mindset, proactive as an off-ball cutter and passer in the halfcourt. The guard did well filling open lanes and relocating to space the floor, in turn even knocking down a few triples throughout the day. Morwood was a quick decisionmaker, reading the floor at an above average level for her next move.
Colleen Monahan Colleen Monahan 5'8" | SF D'Evelyn | 2027 State CO – D’Evelyn
Monahan did very well pushing the pace in transition, often times one of the first down the floor going either direction.
Elle Buenning Elle Buenning 5'11" | PF Evergreen | 2027 State CO – Evergreen
Buenning did well both as a rebounder and physical finisher within the paint. The wing stands right around 5’10, allowing her positinoal versatility in a variety of situations. Effective at getting defensive rebounds at a fairly high volume, Buenning was active as an outlet passer, keeping her head up for the next opportunity. The wing could even hit cutting teammates with dimes from the high post.
Naomi Talegeta Naomi Talegeta 5'10" | PF Rangeview | 2027 State CO – Rangeview
Talegeta was among the most strong forwards at this event, proving active as a roller and help side defender. Standing right around 5’10, Talegeta proved efficient scoring out of the pick and roll, diving with pace before turning her hip to shield the ball on finishes. Defensively, she held up against opposing forwards of similar size.
Viola Downie Viola Downie 6'1" | PF Arapahoe | 2027 State CO – Arapahoe
Downie was among the tallest athletes at this event, standing right around 6’1. The forward boasted a strong frame with upside as a passer. Capable of seeing above the defense, Downie was an active post passer, either getting the ball over the top or squeaking out a bounce pass through the tight window. At her height, Downie was effective finishing layups with either hand in traffic.
Sydney Martin Sydney Martin 5'11" | PF Standley Lake | 2027 State CO – TBD
Martin proved to be yet another effective forward, through her defensive toughness and vision passing the ball. At roughly 5’11, the forward was among the most productive interior defenders at this event, rising up with good timing to swat away drives. On the offensive end, Martin could be utilized as a facilitator or straight line driver.
