Selah Hernandez Selah Hernandez 5’3″ | PG Heritage | 2025 State MI (#10) is someone I saw by pure luck. Prior to a Northwood summer scrimmage in 2022, I saw her drain a half court 3 at the buzzer: who is that kid? She transferred to Heritage and sat out her sophomore season: playing independent travel for Lapeer County Cobras this spring. Selah is at her best when she can sling the rock all over the court: she has exceptional vision. Selah is a pass first, shoot second point guard: can also play off the ball. She is a ball-handling magician who can pass using any arm angle and can snap the ball behind her back, hesitate, or crossover. Before practice and games (sometimes during scrimmages) you will see her executing ball-handling drills against a wall, perfecting her craft. This kid has optimism and excitement that makes the game fun for everyone: her smile sparkles. She is a terrific teammate and team player: I’ve seen her start a “D-Up” chant by herself! She celebrates others more than herself: did I mention she is a sniper from behind the arc? Selah has an excellent pull-up game and is especially effective at spotting up or shooting the long ball off a dribble. She has great balance and a high arcing release. The future is bright for this baller!
Tiareyona Holmes
Tiareyona Holmes
Tiareyona Holmes (#25) from Bay City Central is undeniably athletic. She is someone you see run up and down the court in a way that makes everyone else look like they are stuck in the mud. T puts her foot down and drives to the rim, but can also hit the outside shots. She makes off balance shots from different angles with little separation. She excels shooting using the step back or off the catch. T can lead the team in steals, rebounds, blocks, and points any given night. Holmes is definitely a prospect who can make an astronomical leap this season.

Kate Nichols Kate Nichols CG Port Huron Northern | 2025 State MI (#11) is a CG for PHN who lets her defense shine brightest, but sparkles offensively as well. During the 22′ season she made four 3’s in a game: a balanced shot with a smooth motion and high release. Her outside shot displays balanced footwork and confidence that her opponents dread: she can pull up from the logo. Kate is a glove on defense who set the school record for steals in a game. She will defend her opponent’s best offensive player and do it well. Kate is athletic and has the handles to run the show. She has the leadership qualities and work ethic coaches praise. No doubt, you want to see her this fall!
Maddie Page
Maddie Page
Maddie Page (#23) is the “other” 2025 Midland guard who could be in for an eye opening season. Maddie made an impression with REAL this summer and she certainly made one with me during the 22′ school season: drained three 3’s. She is a knock down, spot up shooter who can dribble into one as well, so you better not give her space! The pass and relocate aspect of her game stands out: she’s quick and finds her spots. Defensively, she has quick hands, tracks the passes well, and jumps to the ball. When you’re scouting Payton this fall, phenomenal prospect, watch #23 and see how much of an impact she makes on the court!
Chloe Bruman
Chloe Bruman
Chloe Bruman (#1) is a defensive specialist: softball is her favorite sport, don’t remind me. This kid flies all over the basketball court and the perfect spot for her is chin to chin with the opponent’s best ball handler. When you press (often) she should be top in the formation, she’s relentless. Chloe is truly a wolf, she has the motor to steal the ball and take it the distance. She will chase down breakaways and does not quit on a play. Offensively she finishes well at the rim and has a nice pull-up jumper. Her instincts are to drive and dish or create opportunities for teammates, but she has the skill to score herself. This is a Spartan you want to keep your eyes on when she’s not on the diamond or volleyball court.
