With the restructuring of North Dakota Basketball into 3 classes now. Let's take a look at some players that you're going to want to know before this season kicks off.

[player_tooltip player_id='245117' first='Josie' last='Jensen'] - Northern Cass - 6'2 - Josie is a 6 ft paint beast that has a backdown badge on future hall of fame. She's strong, physical and can finish with either hand around the rim. She's got a sweet-looking hook off the right block as she seals her man dribbling with the left and hooking back right. She's a force for sure. With her size and presence, it's no wonder why Northern Cass is a legitimate threat each year. Her role this year is simple. Seek and destroy!

[player_tooltip player_id='445769' first='Mckenna' last='Mcilonie'] – Oak Grove - 5'5 – Mcilonie isn't talked about enough! A dager from deep that's got this rainbow jump shot that seems to go in upon release. She's proved time and time again to be a deep-range threat that is very consistent. It doesn't matter if she's coming off a screen from the right corner or off the bounce spraying in the defense's face this hooper can shoot! Aside from her offensive upside, she's a surprisingly solid defender who's got quick feet. I expect nothing but hard work and deep shots this year as the Grovers look to improve upon a rather impressive season last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='219717' first='Drew' last='Potratz'] - Valley City - 5'4 - Drew is a solid high IQ player who is fairly underrated in my opinion. I think she's got enough juice to play at the next level as she works hard and makes the right reads on offense. I think her time playing against bigger competition has really developed her game over the years and that's what makes her a special player. I definitely can see her going to JUCO for 2 years before NAIA ball. A solid defender and a quick guard who can get downhill. I'm definitely interested to see what this rising guard brings to the table this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='245458' first='Avery' last='Amerman'] - Kindred - 5'9 - A solid-sized guard that can play the 3 spot as well. Avery has been a part of a stacked Kindred Squad that won Class B 2 years ago so is no stranger to winning and what it takes to be a champion. A dedicated hard worker who is surely to shine bright this year in the reclassification for North Dakota hoops. Avery is a solid defender who's got a nice wingspan and later quickness for cutting off smaller, faster guards. She's definitely an underrated prospect that you're going to want to tune into this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='278889' first='Kyra' last='Haecherl'] - Lisbon - 5'10 - We discussed this athlete a day or so ago, but man do I love her game. An aggressive opponent in the post that doesn't take no for an answer. If you thought Josie could back down defenders then you're in for a treat with this athlete. Kyra's got great strength and court awareness and no matter the increased talent in Class A Region 1 she's an athlete that will surely be fine navigating to her spot on the court and going right to work from the block like nothing ever changed.
