There were a number of very talented young prospects on hand from the Class of 2027 and 2028. Here is a look at some of those youngsters that caught our eye.
Jordyn Haywood Jordyn Haywood 6'0" | SF MICDS | 2027 MO : A 6’0″ guard who is in the Class of 2028 but she carries herself like someone who is much older with her feel for the game and her unselfish nature. She has the height, length, athleticism and a high basketball IQ to make her an elite young prospect with a bright future. She was dropping dimes, hitting jumpers off the glass and creating disruption with her length on defense. She recently picked up her first Division I offer from Kansas.
Khloe Nicholson: Another 6’0″ 2028 guard with a terrific offensive skill set and a feel for the game. She won the camp-wide 1 on 1 contest where she showed her vast array off offensive talent. She creates easy offense off the dribble as she can either get downhill off the bounce or break off a defender for the step-back 3-pointer. She also dropped some nice dimes in the transition game. She recently picked up her first Division I offer from Missouri.
Julia Wegener: A talented 2027 guard who will attend Blue Springs in the fall. She is a very smooth player who has an impressive feel for the game. She can play at a fast pace, but it looks easy because she is always under control. She surveys the court well and can spot the open teammate. She can finish with either hand on the drive and she can hit the open jumper.
Amillia Prochnow Amillia Prochnow 5'8" | PG Blue Valley | 2027 State KS A 2027 point who will be attending Blue Valley in Kansas. She was impressive in all facets of the game. She was a menace on the defensive end with her on-ball pressure and quick hands, which enabled her to pick pockets. She was just as effective on the offensive end with her excellent pace and speed. She could blow by defenders to score in the lane or pull up and drain a 3-pointer.
Ava Pratt Ava Pratt 6'0" | SF St. Michael The Archangel | 2027 State MO : A 6’0″ 2027 guard who will be attending St. Michael the Archangel in Kansas. She was really disruptive on the defensive end with her length and high level of activity. She covered a lot of ground with each movement and her instincts were excellent as she got in position for steals and deflections. She moves without the ball well to score on cuts and she can attack the basket on the drive.
Lexi Ament: A 5’8″ 2027 guard who will be attending Crocker. She’s a lefty with good speed and a quick first step to get to the basket. Her ball handling is good and she can also knock down open 3-pointers. She was also very impressive in the ball handling and shooting drills that I watched her in.
Hayden Fick: A 2028 point guard who was one of the smallest players at the camp, but that didn’t stop her from having a big impact on the action with her quickness and fearless play as she was always in the middle of the action. She has a high basketball IQ as she handled the ball well and found open teammates at the right time. She can also shoot the ball well from 3-point range.
Sophia Benke Sophia Benke 5'6" | SG Warrenton | 2027 MO : A 2027 guard who will be attending Warrenton. She was very steady in the game with her ability to handle and pass the ball and making good decisions. Her feel for the game was impressive and she had a nice shooting stroke from 3-point range.
