Players from multiple states and several classes put their basketball skills to the test and on display for coaches, scouts, parents, and their opponents.
Here is a group of top performers from Kansas schools who stood out at the day-long camp. Five of them are in the class of 2024, while the other is in the class of 2025.
Bri Hochstetler Bri Hochstetler 5'8" | SG Remington | 2024 State KS , 5’8”, SG, Remington
Remington’s Hochstelter came to Lindsborg to show out. She was all business during the camp and competed with a high level of confidence. She is plus ball handler. She is a three-level scorer and will be a leader right away for a college team if they need one. She is ranked No. 162 in the class of 2024 rankings. She currently has two offers from NAIA programs. Look for her to shoot up the rankings when they are next updated. She was the best performer on the court during the scrimmage session.
Lauren Sandstrom Lauren Sandstrom 6'1" | CG Hayden | 2024 State KS , 6’0”, PF/SF, Hayden
Sandstrom is long and has graceful power moves in the post. She is also a solids passer who can find open teammates in the half-court. She is an unselfish player who knows how to make defenders commit one way or the other in transition. She can score from the post with her back to the basket or finish strong on a fast break. Sandstrom is currently ranked No. 56 in the class of 2024 by Prep Girls Hoops.
Makenzie Galliart Makenzie Galliart 6'0" | PF Blue Valley Weat | 2024 State KS , 6’0”, C/F, Blue Valley West
Gallliart is a beast. Watching her and Sandstrom work to defend each other during the scrimmage portion would have been worth the price of admission (had there been one). She can run the floor extremely well for a big and can find open teammates in transition and in the half-court. Galliart is the type of player who completes the tasks that it takes a team to win, but that won’t show up on the box score.
Teagan Garrison Teagan Garrison 5'6" | PG Mulvane | 2024 State KS , 5’6”, PG, Mulvane
Garrison is an exciting prospect. She is athletic and has a long basketball frame. She is quick and makes solid decisions while in transition. She is more of a defender than a scorer, but she won’t hurt a team on offense. Garrison is also an accomplished soccer player. Garrison is ranked No. 45 by PGH. She is looking for her first college offer and is interested in playing either sport at the college level.
Hannah Cooley Hannah Cooley 5'5" | PG Olathe West | 2024 State KS , 5’4”, PG, Olathe West
Cooley is a spark plug point guard who excelled at the Elite Camp. She is a pure shooter who can score from deep. The Olathe West prospect has great court vision. As great a ball distributor as she is, any observer can tell she also loves to spot up for an open jumper. Cooley is currently ranked No. 76 in the class of 2024. Cooley is looking for her first college offer.
Aja Spencer Aja Spencer 5'11" | CG Remington | 2024 State KS , 5’10, SG, Remington
Spencer is extremely coachable and you could tell she enjoyed her day at Bethany. She has a smooth jump shot and has plus speed. She is the consummate teammate and understands all five players have to be involved in an offense. There were times during the camp I wish she would have been a little more selfish and looked for her shot before passing. Spencer is currently ranked No. 187 by PGH, She has one offer from an NAIA program.
Emma Cooper Emma Cooper 5'9" | SF Andover Central | 2025 State KS , 5’9”, PF/SF, Andover Central, ‘25
Cooper is a physical prospect who is also a glass-cleaning rebounder. She plays solid defense and is a versatile player. She was dialed into advice from the coaches during the entire event. Cooper also plays volleyball for the Jaguars. Cooper is currently unranked but would be a solid addition during the next round of ranking updates. If I was an NAIA coach for either basketball or volleyball, I would make her an offer and watch her grow. She’s the type of character kid you want in your locker room.
