The 5 players below displayed that they all possess a good amount of skill with the basketball in their hands, in their own each individual way, while also being some of the tallest players in the building. Make sure to check them out and their perspective schools this winter for high school ball. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Zoe Allen Zoe Allen 6'1" | PF Williamsburg | 2026 State IA – PF – 2026 – Williamsburg, Iowa
Zoe Allen Zoe Allen 6'1" | PF Williamsburg | 2026 State IA displayed this AAU season that she is a power forward to know going into this winter at Williamsburg high school. Allen is fundamental, strong, and crafty near the basket. She does a great job of keeping the ball high when she catches, while finishing over small defenders any chance she gets. When she has to step out to the perimeters she displays a great “screening” game. Her shooting ability makes it hard for defenders to decide what they want to make her do on the catch because of all the options she possesses. Allen showed me a lot of good things on Sunday, it’s hard to pin point which was the best but moving forward, she has a promising future on the court.
Landrie Callahan – SF/SF – 2026 – Morris, Illinois
It’s not too often that you see a player with the combination of size and shooting ability like you do in Landrie Callahan. Callahan is a diverse and constant threat on the floor to her opponents. She moves quickly down the court with the ability to flash all the way to the hoop for a layup or to the spot on the perimeter for a three point jumper. On Sunday, Callahan was a nightmare for defenders to stay in front throughout the day. She made the most of her opportunities and made big plays down the stretch of each game she competed in. Callahan is young and has a lot of room to grow over these next few years but right now, she is on a good trajectory.
Audrey Kosky Audrey Kosky 6'1" | PF Storm Lake | 2024 State IA – PF – 2024 – Storm Lake, Iowa
Audrey Kosky Audrey Kosky 6'1" | PF Storm Lake | 2024 State IA is going to be an interesting prospect to watch this winter at Storm Lake high school. Kosky has a nice combination of size and touch on the ball. She moves around the post with ease and usually makes smaller opponents pay if she see’s a mismatch. What really stood out to me on Sunday about her game is the way she moves without the ball and her act for rebounding over alike-size opponents. She did a great job of keeping bigger players off of the glass, while doing work early near the paint to try and help her score some easy buckets in the lane. Like I said above, I’ll be keeping an eye out this winter on Kosky and her Storm Lake team. If this program uses the size they have correctly, they could go on a nice run as they get into playoff time next spring.
Kendall McDaniel Kendall McDaniel 6'0" | C Valley | 2024 State IA – C – 2024 – West Des Moines, Iowa
Kendall McDaniel Kendall McDaniel 6'0" | C Valley | 2024 State IA did what Kendall McDaniel Kendall McDaniel 6'0" | C Valley | 2024 State IA does on a regular basis at this camp. She used her size to score near the basket with ease, she out rebounded almost everyone else around her, and she made a handful of stops on defense against some pretty tough offensive players. There is no question about McDaniels drive and skill on the floor, all the questions this winter will be about how she will be used. If McDaniel is put in the position to succeed near the basket on a regular basis, that team she is on is going to be very hard to stop every game. If they just move her around the perimeter a lot and don’t have too much meaning for that movement, it’s going to be a long season. No matter what though, McDaniel will be ready to play. Just like she showed me on Sunday at Truman State.
Grace Linder Grace Linder 5'11" | SF West Des Moines Valley | 2025 State IA – SF/PF – 2025 – West Des Moines, Iowa
I’m not going to get too much into Grace Linder Grace Linder 5'11" | SF West Des Moines Valley | 2025 State IA ‘s game because there is another article coming out with that information in the near future but the more I see of Linder, the more I like her game and the higher I think her ceiling is. On Sunday, Linder was flying all over the court and working her tail-off on both sides of the floor to be a difference maker. During skill drills she showed that she can handle, shoot, and move at an elite level compared to most around her. From there, she excelled during competitive play and stood out for her team during each game in some sort of way. I’m excited to see what she can do this season on the high school court at Valley. I’m not sure if she is going to see a ton of time right away but as the season moves forward, I would imagine she will prove herself to see more and more as the year goes on.
