I’ve written a lot about Sabrina Anderson Sabrina Anderson 5’8″ | PG Potomac School | 2027 State VA so I won’t get into her too much. But Sabrina will start this year on what should be an outstanding Potomac team, and I see her having a great year. She’s one of the best players in this class and an offensive machine. If you have not seen her play, you should take time out to watch this year.
The starting backcourt for Potomac could very well be another 2027 guard that shares the same name with her counterpart. Sabrina Eldredge Sabrina Eldredge 5’9″ | SG Potomac School | 2027 State VA ‘s skillset fits really well next to the rest of this team and she already has a few offers. She is a really good spot up shooter and when teams run her off she does a good job at attacking the basketball very aggressively. She competes on defense and should have a fantastic season.
A few weeks ago, the PGH freshman showcase was the first opportunity I had to watch Charisma Hall Charisma Hall 5’6″ | PG West Springfield HS | 2027 State VA , and she was very impressive. She was one of the best players on the day and showed off her skillset nicely. Her ball handling and passing are fantastic, and her quickness makes her a real handful to stop as a driver. She can create her own shot from the outside as well. West Springfield has a lot of solid players, but I still see Charisma making an impact this year.
Peyton was another player I was introduced to at the PGH freshman showcase, and she was impressive. Her aggressiveness and commitment to getting downhill were fun to watch. She had a lot of tough finishes and knocked down a handful of jumpers. South County was bad last year, but things can change soon with their terrific 2027 class.
Natalya Wooten Natalya Wooten 5’9″ | CG South County | 2027 State VA is another 2027 South County guard who is talented. I like her court vision a lot, and she is crafty. Natalya is a tremendous athlete but still finds ways to get by defenders and score in the paint. She is fundamentally sound and uses her size well. Wooten and Baines-Trapp’s pairing should be good for South County moving forward.
Highlights
Demi Johnson Demi Johnson 5’7″ | PG Bishop Ireton | 2027 State VA is a solid two-way player. She is quick and gets to the rim effectively. She has a solid pull-up mid-range game, and her commitment to getting to the rim is something I like. She can shoot the ball from range as well, and her energy on defense is another thing that impresses me. Bishop Ireton is loaded with talent, so it may be hard for Demi to see minutes right away, but at some point, she will be a solid contributor at this level.
