The Lady Bearettes are one of the most dominant and solid programs in the state of Tennessee. Historically, they have been great throughout the years. Now, they are rewriting the history books and they have the firepower to create something incredible this year and for years to come.
State Champs this past year, these young ladies look to continue their dominance in the 4A class. One of the heavy hitters in the group, these girls look to return to the Glass House stronger than ever. The squad is more balanced with speed, has impressive inside and out presence, and can shoot the rock. Add their skill level, athleticism, height, depth of their roster, and you have a pretty solid squad that will be taking the hardwood this upcoming school season. They are the favorite to return to the ship, but these girls know it takes hardwork and perseverance to succeed. They will have a target on their backs, but don’t worry, these young ladies are equipped with the mental fortitude to withstand any type of pressure. Look for these girls to be hungry bears when the ball tips off in November.
Here are some Lady Bearettes you need to keep tabs on this upcoming season.
Harmonie Ware Harmonie Ware 5'9" | SG Bradley Central | 2025 State TN (5’10/Jr./G)– Stud of an athlete, she combines her size and length to create mismatches over her opponents. She has speed, she plays with style, she has grit, she’s one hungry Lady Bearette who gets after it when it comes to the game of basketball. She’s only gotten better as she dons the Black and gold jersey. Her stock has risen as she looks to contend for Miss Tennessee this upcoming year. She’s a multi-level scoring threat that can get to the rim with ease. She’s a fierce competitor and one of the leading catalyst on this tough Bradley Central squad. It’s not just her offensive game that is impressive, but her defensive game is great too. Look for Harmonie to capitalize on a sensational sophomore year and be a top player in the state.
Kimora Fields Kimora Fields 6'2" | PF Bradley Central | 2026 State TN (6’0/So./PF)– “Boogie” is a beast. Enough said. I don’t need to write anymore. She brings to the table so much, it’s hard to write a description about how important she means to the team. Yes, she is good at scoring in the paint, knocking down 15ft, getting rebounds, blocking shots, yada yada yada. But what she also excels at is pace and space, running in transition, helpside defense, little intangibles that you can’t coach. Last year she was in a lot of pick n’roll and pick n’ pop plays. Excelled at them early on as a freshman. I feel she will have a heavier load and the offense will run through her as the Lady Bearettes look to attack. Kimora is one of the best players in her class. I expect her trajectory to rise even more as she looks to be one of the best in the state. She’s a hard working individual who seeks to become great at her craft. Look for her to have an outstanding sophomore season.
Avary Brewer Avary Brewer 5'7" | PG Bradley Central | 2025 State TN (5’7/Jr./G)– She has ice in her veins. Last year, she stepped up in big moments during the state tournament. Her opportunity on the big stage last year, shot her confidence through the roof. She’s been on an upwards trajectory ever since. Poise with the ball in her hands, she has tremendous court vision. She can hit open teammates in stride or deliver perfect pocket shooting passes. She can shoot the ball herself from the arc, but can also penetrate to either finish at the rim or kick out. She is afraid to sit down and guard and will be asked to do so this upcoming season. Coming from an athletic family, she’s carrying on the Brewer legacy with passion and pride. Look for her to have a breakout junior year where she will set herself apart from other guards in the state.
TaTianna Stovall TaTianna Stovall 6'1" | SF Bradley Central | 2025 State TN (6’1/Jr./F)– Mmm. The word “coup” keeps coming to mind when speaking about TaTianna (definition of coup from google- “ a sudden, violent, unlawful seizure of power from the government. A notable successful stroke or move.”) Ok, take the government part out of the equation, but the move of this young lady to this Lady Bearettes program, a stroke of brilliance. It’s not everyday that a MVP/ Miss Tennessee candidate moves into your area. Then to join this forceful group, watch out 4A class. For those who don’t know, this young lady is a stud. One of the best in the state, she brings size, skill, passion, heart, and so much more to the table. She’s a beast on both ends of the floor. Defensively she’s a handful, using her size to create turnovers. She’s good on the boards, blocking shots, and communicating with teammates. Offensively, she’s a bucket. Scoring it from all levels, within the 15ft range, she’s money. She’s big on the O boards too. It’s going to be fun watching the tandem of Kimora and T get after it. She’s a huge still and a great asset to the program.
Look for the Lady Bearettes to contend for state contention once again. Get your popcorn ready, these girls are fierce competitors and will be fun to watch. When it’s all said and done, those who take in a game will have seen some exciting prospects suit up on the hardwood. This group is one of the more impressive squads in the state. Stay tuned and plugged into this program.
