These changes of venue will have an impact on the landscape of basketball for the 2023 – 2024 season. In this article we look at some of those players who have transferred to other teams, and assess the impact of these moves.
Eris Lester Eris Lester 5'10" | SF Montverde Academy | 2024 State FL will play her final season at Monteverde. Lester played at Orange Park for 3 years and reached major milestones during her tenure (1000 points, etc). Lester does it all on the basketball court She can score from anywhere on the court and does so in an elite manner. She can shoot the three, rip to the midrange, and get to the rim.
Kendall Kane Kendall Kane 6'0" | SF Beachside | 2025 State FL (Covefr Photo) transferred to Beachside after playing in Volusia County last year. Kane is a versatile player who can play the 2 3, and 4. She is one of the best three point shooters on the First Coast. Kane can also handle the ball and does a good job of assisting with press breaks. She can also get to the rim and draw fouls and finish through contact. Kane will make an instant impact at Beachside.
Madilyn Ray Madilyn Ray 6'2" | C Beachside | 2026 State FL transferred to Beachside. The impact of this transfer is huge: With the addition of Ray and Kane, Beachside could be one of the toughest matchups in St Johns county and on the entire First Coast. Ray is one of the top 2026 players in the State and is very versatile. She can play the traditional post spot, and can also move out to the wing and play the stretch-four position. Ray was one of the main catalysts of her team as a Freshman. As a Sophomore, the sky is the limit for this upcoming season.
Kamela Marshall Kamela Marshall 5'7" | SF University Christian | 2025 State FL has transferred to University Christian and that move makes an already good UC team an even better team. Marshall will team up with Alanna Tatum Alanna Tatum 5'6" | PG University Christian | 2026 State FL and two of the Tatum triplets. University Christian will be a fun team to watch and could run a lot of teams out of the gym. Marshall can score the basketball in a variety of ways and is very efficient from behind the three point line. Marshall can also get to the rim in transition and off the dribble.
Audrey Beyer Audrey Beyer 5'10" | SG Tocoi Creek | 2026 State FL transferred to Tocoi Creek and the move makes for a very impactful transfer. Beyer was one of the best young 3 point shooters on the First Coast. The move will give Tocoi Creek a bonafide outside threat to go along with some of their young guards. Beyer can shoot the three, drive the ball and pass to the open player.
Kourtney Johnson Kourtney Johnson 5'6" | PG Mandarin | 2024 State FL transferred to Mandarin from San Jose Prep and her impact was made immediately. Johnson’s arrival gives Mandarin an extra ball handler and shooter. Johnson connected on 5 three pointers in one game last year and shot it well in other games too. The combination of Johnson and Kiyana Hunter Kiyana Hunter 5'3" | PG Mandarin | 2024 State FL could be one of the toughest guard duos on the First Coast.
Rosiyn Weston Rosiyn Weston 5'8" | SG Oakleaf | 2026 State FL transferred from University Christian to Oakleaf and she could make a difference on the young Oakleaf team. Weston is coming into her own and has improved significantly in the last year. She will have an impact on Oakleaf’s defense, transition, and offense.
