There were some outstanding performances delivered on the court by a lot of talented players. In this article, we look at the top performers at the Top 250 Expo on Teams 3, 4, and 5. They made plays and affected the game in more ways than just one way. Some dominated in the scoring column, but they also fed the ball to open teammates. Some dominated in the paint on the offensive end and protected the paint on the other end. These players were the “GameChangers” of the Top 250 Expo, and they played at an elite level all over the basketball court.
Kiarra Orphelia Kiarra Orphelia 5’5″ | PG Monteverde | 2025 State FL was a GameChanger and my top performer of the showcase. Orphelia was simply remarkable on the court. She was unstoppable in transition and had a gear not matched by anyone else on the floor. Orphelia left defenders flat footed going left and right. Once she blew by defenders, she finished with the left and right hand. Orphelia also scored in the midrange area throughout the expo. Orphelia was exceptional on the offensive end and equally impressive on the defensive. Her foot-speed and lateral movement were also unmatched and she consistently beat her opponent to the spot. She harassed the point guards throughout the event and forced guards to their weaker hand and made it difficult for them all day long. Orphelia was the top performer of the Expo and she was indeed a GameChanger.

Nina Green Nina Green 5’6″ | PG Wharton | 2024 State FL was unreal at the Expo and was in the running for top performer of the Top 250 Expo. Green’s ability to handle the ball and go left or right was impressive. I saw Green all summer long and she and her team balled out every weekend. I knew Green had a nice midrange shot, but that midrange game on the heels of changing directions and stopping, starting, and pulling up for the short jumper was “elite”. Green also shot it well from the outside and kept the defense off balance all day long. Green was also impressive running the point and shooting guard positions interchangeably. She got her team into their offensive sets and made numerous plays for the outside shooters on her team. Green also ran the break well. She did a lot of things well and affected the game in mulitiple ways. Just like money is green, Green was “money” all day long. She was a GameChanger.
Abby Price Abby Price 5’11” | SG Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL had a great performance at the Expo and she was a GameChanger as well today. Price is known as a great shooter and she got it rolling today. That jump shot is so smooth and when it leaves her hand it looks like its good everytime. Price probably had 10 threes for the evening and while I was impressed with the shooting numbers, it was her ball handling that put her in this GameChanger category. Price handled the pressure against all defenders and held her own against some top notched on-ball defenders. She subsequently made the right play with the ball and solidified herself as a multi-positional player. Price played the 2, the 3 , and the 1 and that meets the criteria of a GameChanger.
Highlights
Izellah Kendrick Izellah Kendrick 6’2″ | C Bloomingdale | 2025 State FL was dominant on the court on the offensive end, and she also provided muscle on the defensive end. Offensively, when Kendrick got the ball down low, she seeked contact and knocked the defender off balance. Once that objective was met, you could go ahead and count the basket. Not only did she dominate in the post on offense, but she also stood out on the defensive end, defending the other bigs in the painted area. Kendrick also handled the ball on the wing as well. “Z” Kendrick was versatile and affected the game on both ends of the court. “Z” was a GameChanger.
Jennie Gutman Jennie Gutman 5’11” | PF Robinson | 2025 State FL was a GameChanger because of her play all over the court. Gutman was probably the most versatile Forward at the Expo. Gutman shot the ball from the three point line, she scored inside the paint, she rebounded the ball on both ends of the court, she handled the ball like a guard, and she made plays for her teammates. Gutman impacted the game in a lot of ways and she was a GameChanger for sure.
