Z had some big buckets that were hard to come by for either team in the Final. She seemed to be in the right place at the right time in both games on her way to 13.5 ppg on 12 for 22 shooting to secure the Bulls with their first State Championship. There are few true post players anymore, so she’s been a nightmare matchup for teams her entire career. Looking forward to seeing where she lands for the next chapter of her career!

Izellah proved to be most the dominant player on a court with an array of talent and future college players. During the much anticipated match-up with Tampa Catholic Iz controlled the offensive end with her strength, elite foot-work and offensive rebounding that lead to many second chance points. She worked both the block and free throw line areas, had a soft touch on her finishes in the paint, smooth jumper from midrange and was a willing passer to open teammates for threes or ones that cut to the basket. Iz was active on the defensive end altering shots and clogging up driving lanes, not allowing easy looks for anyone. She has an “old school” feel to her game, and it’s refreshing.

is a physical presence that draws attention immediately, but once she starts playing, her footwork is what truly makes her stand out. Wherever Izellah catches the ball, she is a threat. She uses her size to shield defenders from the ball and handles it well enough to get to her spot and score. Kendrick doesn’t need to post up, either—she has a smooth jumper. Her mid-range shot is the most dangerous, but you can’t leave her open at the 3-point line, either.
Izellah also has great hands and knows how to get herself open, making her a threat in both pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop offenses. Kendrick is a good decision-maker with the ball, possessing the ability to pass her teammates open, making her equally effective in the Princeton offense.
Izellah helped lead her high school team to a 30-1 season and a state runner-up finish, averaging 13.7 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game. Bloomingdale has loaded up in the transfer portal with a lot of good talent, making them a favorite to win the 6A state championship.

got in early foul trouble, but when it was all said and done she was a big factor in the game, finishing with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Kendricks is one of the toughest players in the post and down the stretch, her offensive rebounds and putbacks were impactful. She was also crafty at making herself open, catching the pass at the perfect time, and converting the layup, escpecially down the stretch..
