Highlights
Sam Kelly
Sam Kelly
Sam is a newer player to me and I am sorry I am just discovering her now. Fun guard to watch. Her strong handles and speed make her a menace all over the court. Looking forward to seeing more from her.
Carmela Bright
Carmela Bright
Carmela Bright is another newer player to me but is definitely not new to the court. The first thing that stood out to me was her passing ability. She could find an open player in transition and was a menace of defense.
Hynes is super fun to watch. Seems to improve with every showcase or tournament. Lockdown defender-she can guard with the best of them. Plays with a fire of a player who loves the game and makes every second on the court count.
Highlights
Turner has a quick motor and it never seems to quit. She has great handles and no defender can frazzle her. Elite finisher. We have just seen the beginning from her.
Highlights
Chloe delivered on the preview I provided before the showcase. She also highlighted her tight handles and her ability to see the entire court to facilitate plays.
Highlights
Courtny Bridgeforth
Courtny Bridgeforth
Courtny will be a player to watch during HS season. Her frame can be deceptive to opponents because she has speed not seen in players of her height. Coupled with her speed, her finishes at the basket make her both an offensive and defensive asset.
Emilie San Roman
Emilie San Roman
Emilie seems to always be seeking out opportunities to contribute whether on offense or defense. She is lightning quick- no one who could beat her down the court and that is a skill that can’t be taught. The Loyola Academy sophomore will be only accelerating her game during HS season.
Don’t overlook O’Brien. Long and lean, she uses her height to shoot and defend. Draws multiple defenders and can easily pass out well to teammates or drive and finish at the rim. Reads the court very well. High ceiling.
I tend to forget that Leah is only a junior. She has a great frame, is a defensive threat down low and she seemed to block every call that was in her vicinity. Her offense isn’t too shabby either-she can shoot just as well from 3 as she can from inside.
