So, here’s my spill! I started this job around March of this year. My very first game that I attended was Bearden vs Heritage. I remember writing my manager to tell him that I did not feel comfortable approaching any of the girls yet. I didn’t know any of them and they surely didn’t know me! I went to the top corner to sit and I enjoyed a fun one! Talent was definitely all over the court that day! I was watching the game and a few athletes stood out. I’m checking off my list; this one is signed, the next one is signed, & this one is…. A FRESHMAN! No way, right? I’m researching and long and behold, the star, the best player on the court, is a freshman. A 5’7 combo guard that is lethal from anywhere on the court. She may not be your 5’10 or 6 foot point guard but don’t ever think that this one can’t defend & stop whoever is bringing the ball up the court. You can only hope that your offensive guard can get low dribbling, because if not, Hodge is GONE. I think every person knew that her big offers were coming. Yes, in case you didn’t know, I am talking about Natalya Hodge Natalya Hodge 5'7" | CG Bearden | 2026 State TN ! Offers include Clemson, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, & the list goes on & on!!! So, UT, Lady Vols, Vol nation, what can be done to keep this one home? She has proved that she belongs! She is my number 1 rank! Change my mind? It probably won’t happen. I’m all in on Hodge’s future because I recognize greatness! Call her “Goated” cause she is by far one of the best! I have no clue where Natalya Hodge Natalya Hodge 5'7" | CG Bearden | 2026 State TN will end up but I hope the Lady Vols are doing everything they can to keep her home. One thing I do know is that if any other team in the SEC gets her, she is going to give us all nightmares for years to come. She’s deadly with the ball in her hands, fast as lightning, makes every single player on the floor better, elite shooter, elite ball handler, she’s ELITE & she’s only starting her sophomore season in high school. I can’t wait to grab a front row seat to watch her play in college! I can only hope (as a Lady Vol fan) that she suits up for the orange & sings Good ol’ Rocky Top! Let’s keep her home! Good luck on the years to come Natalya! Go be great!
Freshman stats: 14.3 points, 4.4 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 3.6 steals! Her value can’t be measured by only stats when she is on the court! But those stats are still really dang good!!!
