I really enjoyed watching the players that I don’t typically get to see throughout the season, as well as seeing improvements from the players that I do get to watch a lot. I got to watch the first three games on court 2 before finishing out the day on court 1. Unfortunately, I only got to watch majority of the teams play one time, but I’m glad I at least got to get a glimpse of everyone that was in attendance. Throughout the day, I took down notes on what I was seeing from each player at the event. Below you will see the notes I got from team 7 at the Top 250 Expo.
Aniyah Carter Aniyah Carter 5'0" | PG Holy Cross | 2025 State KY (#227)
An easy standout throughout the day. Extreme quickness to the point that it felt like there was not a single player that could stay in front of her or beat her down the floor. Made great passes and really created well for her teammates. Very tough player who plays so much bigger than her size. Finished some tough buckets around the basket and knocked down shots, but was always willing and ready to kick.
Sheridan Miller Sheridan Miller 5'1" | SG Bullitt Central | 2024 State KY (#228)
Good handles allowed her to stay poised under pressure. Ran the floor well. Made solid passes to teammates and consistently recognized when help defense stepped over. Had some great hustle plays.
Natalya Pitts Natalya Pitts 5'5" | PG Moore | 2026 State KY (#284)
A big difference maker on the court. Quick. Has good hands. Multiple shifty finishes at the rim. Nice quick release on shot and can knock them down off the dribble or catch. Showed off her deep range on her shot as well. She put up impressive numbers in her freshman season at Moore, but based on what she showed Saturday, she’s poised to breakout and put even more people on notice this season.
Chloe Crase Chloe Crase 5'5" | PG Floyd Central | 2026 State KY (#315)
Ran the floor extremely well – seemed to be one of the first ones back on defense every single time down the floor. Handles the ball well and has a good outside shot. Can apply a lot of pressure defensively and is constantly reading the passing lanes. With Floyd Central graduating a lot of their scoring from last season, Crase could be a player that helps fill those holes this season.
Destiny Scott Destiny Scott 6'2" | C North Hardin | 2026 State KY (#323)
One of the top standouts at the event from start to finish. Has great height and length. Found it very impressive that she could consistently extend out and knock down 3’s or elevate over defenders to knock down jump shots on top of her ability to finish around the rim. Good versatility allows her to handle the ball also. Alters shots defensively and is a good rim protector. Potential could not be higher.
Skylar Thompson (#327)
Great hands. Had great timing and blocked shots well. Can score in the post or step out and knock down jumpers. Ran the floor well. Played great defense around the basket and secured rebounds off the rim.
