Continue ReadingThe drive to 50 continues within Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey’s updated Class of 2025 rankings within the Garden State. We have just finished off the top 30 junior prospects in the state, and now, we conquer the top 40 in this article, talking about the updated No. 31-35 prospects in PGH NJ’s updated rankings.
No. 31: Jessaiah Reynoso Jessaiah Reynoso 5'6" | CG Passaic | 2025 State NJ – PG, Passaic
Reynoso is an offense-forward guard, and her offensive game has been nothing short of impressive to watch over the last two seasons. It’s safe to say she took a massive step forward as a sophomore, which reflected in her production, averaging 19.2 points a game in 24 games played. She more than doubled her scoring totals from last season with just seven more games played overall, a testament to the constant work she’s put in, and increased basketball IQ that’s really allowed her to command the floor better.
No. 32: Alyssa Stridiron Alyssa Stridiron 5'6" | CG St. Dominic | 2025 State NJ – PG, St. Dominic
Consistency is key, and Stridiron certainly has showcased a level of consistency on the basketball court through her sophomore year at St. Dominic. That’s translated outside of the high school season as well, but some of the biggest changes we’ve seen with the guard over the past year has been selective aggression, going hard when she needs to, but not overdoing it during scenarios where it isn’t warranted. She’s done well at facilitating the ball, and her defense has picked up significantly from year one.
No. 33: Janaya Meyers Janaya Meyers 5'8" | SG Bayonne | 2025 State NJ – SG, Bayonne
A leader among other players and a big piece to Bayonne’s state title run, Meyers had herself quite the first season with the Bees. We might have to change her position to more of a combo guard role because she’s done so much in so many different respects on the floor. She can score, rebound, pass, get a steal, block a shot, stop a fast break, etc. Meyers still has room to grow, but in terms of becoming an all-around guard, she progressed well as a junior to get closer to that college-ready level.
No. 34: Francesca Schiro Francesca Schiro 5'6" | CG Hillsborough | 2025 State NJ – CG, Hillsborough
All-around guard. As we were talking about with Meyers above, Schiro fits into that category without hesitation, and for good reason. When you watch her play, how she chooses to approach the game, how she surveys and how she stacks up to opponents, her role is to dominate and put everyone else on watch. There really isn’t much of an easier way to describe that than by looking at her high school stats: 16.4/8.5/4.6 in 27 games with nearly four steals a game. Schiro is a monster, a beast, a truly special talent Hillsborough has.
No. 35: Savannah Seawell Savannah Seawell 6'3" | PF Montclair | 2025 State NJ – PF, Montclair
Just one player remains to round out our top 35 for Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey’s Class of 2025 rankings update, and for that, we head to Montclair to find a stellar forward in Savannah Seawell Savannah Seawell 6'3" | PF Montclair | 2025 State NJ . Fresh off a double-double campaign as a sophomore, with 15.3 points a game and 14.8 rebounds a game, she has now walked the walk in high school basketball. We won’t forget to talk about how massive a threat defensively she has been because anyone who’s averaging well over two blocks and steals a game is doing a lot right.
