Mallory was able to show her skills as an all around ball player at the Top 250 – as she shot well off the catch and shoot and aggressively rebounded on both ends of the court. — she ran the floor well in transition, finished at the rim and was a force on defense! Jackson is a player that can guard both the perimeter and the inside — she utilized her length to make a number of stops on defense!
Tierra was one of the players that grabbed our attention from the very beginning. — her quickness and ball handling abilities were on full display in all three games – she was able to beat most of her opponents up the floor in fast break situations & when she was not finishing at the rim – she was making solid passes to her teammates. Owens made numerous plays in transition due to her quickness and defense but she was also one of the better playmakers and shooters at the Top 250 —
Kylie showcased her shooting ability throughout the morning and afternoon – she was efficient from beyond the arc and took advantage of lax defenders. — there was a two minute span in one of the games where Kylie hit a jumper then back to back to back three’s & made it look effortless! — she had a productive sophomore season but she made it clear at the Top 250 that she is ready to lead Mount Saint Mary’s to a very successful season!
Highlights
Clara is a high IQ player that plays the game – the right way! — she shot well throughout the showcase and was a strong defensive presence for her team. — she is very athletic as well as an “effort on 100” type of player. — there are many instances at showcases where players play out of their element to “be seen” but Clara was quite the opposite as it was evident that everything she did on Sunday were skills she had practiced, developed and worked on!
Addisen Lawrence
Addisen Lawrence
Addisen is a player that will out hustle and out work her opponents! – as simple as it may seem, “small things” like her sprinting up and down the court while others jogged were key aspects to her success at the Top 250. – her sprinting resulted in baskets & her sprinting back on defense resulted in stops! Jackson shot well and kept her teammates involved! — she was consistent throughout the event and all three scouts took notice of Addisen’s skill and work ethic!
