Today I will look at the some of the youngest players who caught my attention with solid play from the Class of 2028.
Lily Sanfilippo, Avon, 2028
She is a rising player who has a nice skillset for a player her age. The first thing I noticed about her is her ability to put the ball on the floor and wasn’t afraid to get to the rim with confidence. Can penetrate and finish, I expect her game to continue to grow as she matures and continues to work on her game.
Kenadie Gerton, Princeton, 2028
She plays above her grade and has a high ceiling in my opinion. Kenadie is able to play a fast game and can push the ball north and south with the ability to distribute the ball with great vision. Has older sister Mari to work on her game and that will help her game continue to improve. It is hard to tell how good a player can become but she has the tools and avenue to make good strides.
Jordan Mendenhall, Waverly (MI), 2028
Good prospect with a game that continues to grow. She has an explosive step and is able to get to the rim. Heading into the eighth-grade, Jordan looks to polish her game and prepare for a solid high school career. Good court vision and active hands on defense. A player to watch in the future.
Sydney Ferguson, Our Lady of the Elms, 2028
Made immediate impact in her game and caught my attention with her solid all-around game. Sydney is long and athletic with a great wingspan. Can use that to rebound and defend well at the rim. She has great handles for her size, defends any position One who will no doubt make an impact when she gets to high school next year.
Janay Carter, Harvest Prep, 2028
I really like this kids game! She has key prospect written on her. Now just needs to continue to work on her game and continue to develop her skillset. She has good, active hands, good movement around the rim, shifty and can score in different ways. Very good body control, makes plays with swag. Watch this one!
