We have not been shy about our coverage of all of New Jersey, especially highlighting the talent that exists in South Jersey. There's some fantastic players there, gamechangers, playmakers and true ballers. The No. 1 player in our Class of 2023 rankings didn't come from South Jersey for no reason. We continue that talk below, discussing some of the best shooters in the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='414340' first='Macie' last='McCracken'] - Wildwood (2025)

If we're talking best shooters in South Jersey, the debate begins and ends with [player_tooltip player_id='414340' first='Macie' last='McCracken'], easily one of the best shooters in the state, let alone the region. In two seasons with Wildwood, she has 168 made three-pointers in 59 games, roughly 2.8 threes a game, including 103 last season, over 3.5 threes a game. Oh, and she averaged a cool 22.3 points per game to go with that.

[player_tooltip player_id='414395' first='Reese' last='Downey'] - Absegami (2025)

Downey has to be in the conversation for the best shooter in the region no doubt, knocking down 141 made three-pointers in 53 games players so far in her high school career. Consistency is key and efficiency is key, two things that go heavily in her favor, and averaging nearly 2.7 made three-pointers a game isn't too bad at all. She has a great chance of knocking down 300 or more in her career at this current rate.

[player_tooltip player_id='588708' first='Ava' last='Mazur'] - Mainland (2024)

Mainland's numbers aren't quite fully updated on NJ dot com from previous years, but make no mistake about the success of their guard up top, [player_tooltip player_id='588708' first='Ava' last='Mazur']. Last season saw her hit 44 in 27 games, and if she hasn't yet hit 100 in her career, that point is coming very soon. A great leader, someone with great vision on the court and a stellar overall player, Mazur is a fun watch, no doubt.

[player_tooltip player_id='488763' first='Hannah' last='Cappelletti'] - Middle Township (2024)

Cappelletti picked up where she left off with Ocean City at Middle Township, crossing the 100 career three-pointer mark as she hit 46 on the year. Following a career-high 52 three-pointers as a sophomore, she's hit 98 over the past two years alone and 104 in 60 career games at the high school level. Hitting 150 should be a no-brainer accomplishment for her this winter/spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='408039' first='Kaci' last='Mikulski'] - Wildwood Catholic (2024)

You can't include a list of some of the best shooters in New Jersey without including the future college basketball prodigy [player_tooltip player_id='408039' first='Kaci' last='Mikulski'] from Wildwood Catholic. Last season saw her hit 71 in 30 games, a career-high as she's now knocked down 136 threes in her high school career, sitting just 64 away from 200. Nearly half of her scoring has come from beyond the arc, so it's no secret that has been her key to success.

[player_tooltip player_id='325212' first='Eva' last='Andrews'] - Paul VI (2024)

Andrews, the future North Carolina A&T Aggie has certainly had her fair share of three-point success for the Eagles over the past two seasons. In that time, she's knocked down 89 three-pointers in 51 games, closing in on two made three-pointers a game. She's going to be the engine behind the Paul VI machine this season, one that will look much different without Hannah Hidalgo, but with Andrews leading the charge, the transition will be a smooth one.

Analyze Intenzo - Moorestown (2026)

Intenzo is the first freshman to be discussed on this list, and she's on here for a reason. You don't see many freshmen coming out of the gates swinging, averaging over 1.5 made three-pointers a game, 43 in 28 games played, along with nearly 11.0 PPG. She was a big surprise in the Olympic Conference and a welcomed surprise to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='488760' first='Morgan' last='Sims'] - Sterling (2024)

We close out this article discussing a must-watch player in [player_tooltip player_id='488760' first='Morgan' last='Sims'] out of Sterling, someone who's hit 86 three-pointers in 53 games played, including a career-high 56 in 28 games as a junior. That's an average of two a game for the Silver Knights, and if anyone is poised to repeat those kinds of numbers next season, Sims is most certainly up there.
