Those names are no secret. There is some movement and newly added players in the update. No new players cracked the top 20 but that shouldn’t be viewed as a bad thing. There is talent all the way up and down the list of 73 ranked players in this class and a watch list with many more. I’ve found that all classes have players ranked all the way down to 50,60,70, and watch list that are college level prospects.
Although we try to update with more players and higher confidence, consider any player listed as a legitimate candidate to play at the next level. The number beside the name doesn’t define you as a player and we no doubt miss some that are deserving. Here are some of the newest additions.
#37|Mackenzie is making her well deserved debut in the rankings. In fact, she may continue to rise in the future. She has an extremely quick release on the perimeter and shoots with confidence. She plays with confidence and some fire. She is a good defensive player and gets up into ball handling guards with pressure. She anticipates the passing lanes with good athleticism to create steals. A 2nd teams GSL 4A all league player a year ago in her freshman season, she has the upside and mentality to continue to move up the ladder.
#42|The athleticism jumps off the page when you watch her play. She is an active player to say the least. She has great speed and jumping ability to get blocks on defense. She plays hard and takes pride in being able to send shots the other way. She has rankings rising potential as well with her physical tools.
#44|Kessa is a perimeter player with good length on the wing. She is a knock down three point shooter who will get lots of looks playing with #9 ranked Olivia Collins Olivia Collins 5’9″ | CG Sumner | 2026 State WA , and senior all state point guard Lainee Houllion in the backcourt, drawing a lot of defense their way. Nohr is a good compliment to those two as a capable scoring threat you might not want to leave open.
Highlights
#49|Playing on the loaded three x in a row state 3A champion Garfield team, it is tough to get minutes as a freshman. Hall is a guard with great quickness. She can be a pesky player on defense but minutes will be hard to come by once again this season. She should have a role but it’s likely to be another year before we see the real potential on here both ends of the floor.
#56|Tameria was a 2nd team GSL 2A 2nd team all league pick as a freshman last season for Shadle Park. A young team that placed 3rd in league play last season should be better in 2024. Thompson is one of the top scoring threats on the perimeter after proving as much as a freshman last season.
