The Top 250 Expo has come and gone and it left sone lasting impressions: There are some very talented players in the State of Florida; the talent level is apparent in every class and especially the younger classes; and there are a lot of talented guards in the Sunshine State. There are some talented "bigs," but at the Top 250 Expo, there were more guards on the roster. In this article, we look at more of the talented guards who stood out at the Top 250 Expo.

[player_tooltip player_id='495942' first='Asya' last='Jones'] put in the work prior to the Expo and it showed at the Top 250 Expo. Jones has a knack for scoring and historically, she runs the floor well and knows how to get open and score. At this event, Jones showed that she can score the ball on the perimeter. Jones was knocking threes down all over the place and was one of the top shooters at the event. Jones averaged nearly 17.3 points per game and 6.8 steals per game in high school last year. I saw Jones a few times over the summer and she was scoring the ball in transition and was a pest on defense. One thing to surmise from the Expo, Jones has become a threat on the perimeter as well as on the inside. She will be a player to watch this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='773622' first='Olivia' last='Chapman'] shot the ball well during the Top 250 Exp. She is an aggressive offensive player and who can flat-out score the basketball from anywhere on the court. Chapman knocked down threes during offensive sets and also wasn't afraid to shoot the three in transition. She played on a team with some of the best guards at the event and was afforded the opportunity to get to her spots on the court and let it fly. Chapman shot the three without hesitation and also was able to attack the rim when defenders closed out too fast.

[player_tooltip player_id='514592' first='Kyra' last='Jackson'] had a strong showing at the Top 250 Expo and showed a lot of athleticism in the process. Jackson got to the rim and made some difficult shots, and finished through contact. That was just on her inside play. Johnson showed that she was a versatile player, knocking down several threes in the event. Jackson has good length and can also rebound the basketball. Another take - Jackson is going to be an exciting player to watch on her Ed White team this upcoming season. Jackson, [player_tooltip player_id='746624' first='Leandrea' last='McCloud'] and [player_tooltip player_id='767590' first='Alaysha' last='Williams'] were three of the top performers at the event. Teams on the First Coast had better not sleep on Ed White this upcoming season. They made the high school playoffs last year and they are going to be even better this season. After seeing Jackson at the Expo, she will be a huge part of the Ed White equation.

[player_tooltip player_id='426237' first='Simarkae' last='Mclean'] was in the mix all day long at the Expo. She showed a nice smooth jumper on the outside and also had some nice handles. McLean did a good job of pushing the pace and putting pressure on he defense with her speed on the court. McLean stoodout , especially in transition where you could see her speed. She took the ball to the rack and made some impressive plays - scoring and getting to the line. Mclean also rebounded well from the guard position. Defensively, McLean was a good on-ball defender who made the guards work to get the ball up the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='763181' first='Maia' last='Berdebes'] showed a lot of versatility on the floor. She handled the ball well and initiated offense for her team. Bardebes had the size and physicality to mix it up in the paint. She crashed the offensive boards on a lot of shots and got a lot of offensive rebounds. She also showed some quickness on the floor and could get to the rim . She had some beautiful left handed finishes. Berdebes also had good court vision and advanced the ball ahead quiet often.

[player_tooltip player_id='248679' first='Zoe' last='Corjay'] showed her versatile game as she had a nice showing at the Showcase. Corjay has a quick first step and can get to the rim She also can get in the paint and pull up for the short midrange. She ran the break well and had some nice shots on the inside. I saw Corjay ballout in Louisville as well. She is a baller and poised to have a very good Sophomore season.

[player_tooltip player_id='730176' first='Salyse' last='Dillihay'] was impressive at the Expo and especially in the open court in transition. Dillihay has nice handles and has a quick first step. She got to the rim and finished on either side of the rim. Dillihay ran the court very well and I really liked her full-court defense. She played defense the entire length of the court and to get by her required some work and ball-handling skills. She also got several steals with her on-ball defense. If you half-step around Dillihay with the ball, you will find it going the other way. Her on-ball defense was that good, Her speed and quickness were noticeable at the Expo, and she did a good job of pushing the ball up the court during transition.
