The Prep Girls Hoops Missouri Top 250 Expo was held on Saturday at The Principia School in Suburban St. Louis. We begin our team evaluations with a look at the members of Team 1.

[player_tooltip player_id='554959' first='Evelyn' last='Shane'] (Ursuline Academy): The 6'0" 2026 forward was not only one of the top players at the event, but she undoubtedly had the most active motor. She is a prime athlete who was always running the court and making things happen. She has excellent post moves and a nice turnaround jumper in the lane. She could grab the rebound and go coast to coast for a layup. She was also snatching rebounds at will and blocking shots.

GabriElle Troy-Mebane ([program_tooltip program_id='715781' first='Link' last='Academy']): A 5'7" 2026 point guard who was very unselfish with her pass-first sensibilities. She has good quickness and she was playing at her own pace without being sped up by pressure. She kept her head on a swivel as she constantly spotted open teammates with her court vision. She was also able to create of bucket off the dribble with her smooth handles. She could also hit the 3-pointer off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='722146' first='Kinsey' last='Barton'] (Bunker): A 5'9" 2026 guard who was really cooking in the first game of the morning as she displayed her all-around skills. She has good length and athleticism and she was able to cover a lot of space with each stride. She had some nice finishes on the drive and she went high off the glass with a nice touch. She can rebound well with her height and start the break. She was comfortable bringing the ball up against pressure.

Zay Hoover (Cardinal Ritter): A 5'10" 2025 guard who was very disruptive on defense with her length and athleticism. There were several occasions when opposing players would try to score on her on isolations, but she denied most of those opportunities. She also had some good slashing drives on the offensive end and she could hit the Corner 3-pointer.

[player_tooltip player_id='773860' first='Desteny' last='Pierce'] (Springfield Central): A 5'6" point guard from the SWMO area who has an old school manner. She is physically strong and she has the ability to back down her defenders into the lane off the dribble. She can also score around the basket as she can move defenders around inside. She is also a good rebounder who blocks out for position well. She also has quick hands on the defensive end to get strips.

[player_tooltip player_id='773863' first='Josie' last='Desha'] (Niangua): A 5'6" 2026 point guard from the SWMO area who has solid handles and she made good decisions with the ball. She changes directions well on the dribble to escape defenders. She showed good court vision with her passing and she can get into the lane where she had a nice float game.

[player_tooltip player_id='773861' first='Elif' last='Benzer']: A 5'7" 2026 guard who was assertive when she had the ball. She was attacking the basket on a number of fearless drives into the lane. She ripped through and had a nice baseline drive for a bucket and she also hit a 15 footer from the baseline. She also did a good job of following her own misses to get putbacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='723856' first='Renzlee' last='Davidson'] (Winfield): A 5'4" 2024 point guard with good speed and quickness which she used to push the tempo when she had the ball. Her handles were good and she made good use of shot fakes to lift defenders to set up her drives to the basket.
