Sunday September 3rd I attended the Arizona TOP 250 EXPO at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ.

I watched all five teams play twice and this is how they performed when they were on the main court.

Here are the Team 3 Standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='339078' first='Angelina' last='Marsh'] Liberty

An undersized pure point guard is a dimer. She sees the court quickly and throws the strike. She gives hard ball fakes and will go to the basket. She has the floater game and can pull-up from mid-range. She will also rebound the ball and dribble down the court.

Jessica Roberts W 5'5 2025 Mesilla Valley Christian/NM

A New Mexico resident came to AZ for the showcase. The lefty can shoot it from the three point line and will battle inside for rebounds. She runs the court for transition layups and is very competitive to block shots inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='608451' first='Aaliyah' last='Rogers'] Canyon View

A two-way point guard is a top end ball handler and was the best on-ball defender at the showcase. She just moves differently then most. She has elite lateral quickness and fast hands to collect steals in bunches. Her first step is legit to get downhill and will make passes with either hand in stride to a teammate. She moves the ball and will throw assists up the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='242932' first='Trinity' last='Jones'] Desert Vista

A scoring combo guard has deep three point range with a quick trigger. She can blow by her defenders with a burst and will step thru to the basket for buckets. She is also a tough on-ball defender with quick hands to rip pockets of her opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='754590' first='Raiyn' last='Hudspeth'] Gilbert

A wing forward who handles it well and plays with a big IQ. She rebounds well in and out of area and will contest or block shots with a good motor to compete. She will score on put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='754698' first='Peyton' last='Schiltz'] Horizon

A good sized wing forward with a versatile game. She will block shots inside and rebound and scores it many ways. She is a fluid ball handler to create her own offense and has advanced post footwork to utilize. She can also get hot from the three with a nice stroke.

[player_tooltip player_id='754664' first='Erica' last='Venell'] Desert Ridge

An undersized power forward rebounds well in and out of her area. She is very strong to bang with taller players and plays hard. She can also hit the three point shot off the catch with a quicker release.

[player_tooltip player_id='754700' first='Kamari' last='Roddy'] Basha (Pictured)

A tall post player was one of the best newcomers. She has very good strength to go along with her size to battle inside with the post players. She gobbles up many rebounds and smartly keeps the ball high. She will block shots in her area and even impressed with her skill, as she hit a three off the catch from the top of the key.

[player_tooltip player_id='599374' first='Savannah' last='Helms'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A late addition had some good moments. She handles the ball well and is always looking up for her teammates. She creates her own offense and is good with transition layups with either hand. She can also shoot perimeter jumpers with a quick trigger.
