Andrews was one of the best players in the gym yesterday! She did a great job running the offense for her team. She is a tremendous facilitator and had her team running the pick and roll effectively. She is a smooth guard with next-level ball-handling skills and exceptional court vision. She showed she can score at all three levels. She is not just a one-way player either, she came away with multiple steals and locked up her player defensively.
McClain dominated the Post yesterday! She has superior footwork around the rim, she showed off her spin move a few times and it couldn’t be stopped. She controlled the glass and had numerous offensive put-backs. I lost track on the amount of and one’s she had! DaNia also knew when to pull up and knock down the mid-range jumper. If she isn’t on a college radar now, she should be!
Titus is an exceptional Point Guard with the ability to skillfully and confidently dictate the tempo of the game. She possesses extraordinary court awareness, and her execution of the post entry pass was flawless. She had some crafty finishes at the rim and was not afraid to attack on bigger defenders.
Highlights
Butler blended in with the rest of the players at the showcase, being the only freshman present. She showed that she can play with older players and still stand out! Brynn had numerous steals that she took coast to coast. She aggressively attacked the rim and finished with both hands consistently. Butler is a player that lives at the free-throw line. Her quick release and nice-looking shot from behind the arc is impressive. Expect Brynn, a freshman, to make an instant impact this winter for her Jenison team.
Alexis Madura
Alexis Madura
Madura can shoot the rock! She knocked down multiple 3’s on the day and if she was left open in the corner, it was going in. I feel like Rockford is always producing shooters, and Alexis could be next in line. She did a great job on the defensive end as well. She came away with quite a few steals and had her hands in the passing lanes all day.
Julia Noureddine
Julia Noureddine
Noureddine was one of the smallest players on the court, but played with so much heart. I love players that work their tails off on the defensive end of the court and Julia had a motor that did not stop. She will be the hardest working player on the court. She has a nice looking outside shot. I’m excited to see that she registered for the Headliners Invitational Showcase so that I can continue to see her game grow.
Maida is a dangerous two-way player. She had a few steals that she took coast to coast. She has a quick first step that lets her get to the rim, and she does a great job making decisions once she gets in the lane.
Kaitlyn Johnson
Kaitlyn Johnson
Johnson was on the floor making hustle plays all day. She demonstrated her strength by making full-court passes in transition, allowing her teammates to score easily. I was impressed with her hesitation dribble to get by players. She has a nice looking shot from behind the arc.
Wurster did a great job on the offensive glass all day and had multiple put-backs. She was a steady ball-handler in pressure situations. Defensively, she had many steals and blocks on the day.
