I watched all five teams play twice and this is how they performed when they were on the main court.
Here are the Team 5 Standouts:
Milani Ovadia Milani Ovadia 5'4" | PG Sandra Day O'Connor | 2025 State AZ Sandra Day O’Connor
A point guard who plays at a good pace. She can hit the catch three with a quicker release and uses a fast burst to the rim. She is also good laterally to defend opposing point guards.
Margaret Luba Margaret Luba 5'10" | SG Sunnyslope | 2026 State AZ Sunnyslope
A scoring guard who is a fluid ball handler. She can score from all three levels. She has good footwork inside with patience and skill. She will often cut for easy points or will get fouled. She can pull-up from mid-range, euro to the basket and can make off the dribble threes.
Ashley Shaw Ashley Shaw 5'6" | PG Desert Vista | 2026 State AZ Desert Vista
A pure point guard who is a next level passer. She can be a little flashy and has good open court speed. She throws passes up the court and she always has her head up trying to make a play. She also can get downhill to score.
Teagan Mcilroy Teagan Mcilroy 5'7" | CG Sunnyslope | 2025 State AZ Sunnyslope
A combo guard makes plays and can score. She is a good passer with some full court passes and easy drive and kicks. She scores on runners, pull-ups off the dribble and has plus speed to lay it in. She is also a pest on-ball defender.
Jesminda Garcia Jesminda Garcia 5'8" | PG Chandler | 2026 State AZ Chandler (Pictured)
A point guard who sees the court well. She is a smart passer who can throw open players on a frozen rope. She runs the floor well and she is smart to play the passing lanes to collect steals.
Navae Guidry Navae Guidry 5'11" | SF Mesquite | 2025 State AZ Mesquite
A wing froward was the Co-MVP of the showcase. She can dribble drive to score, she is a good passer who handles it well and will kick it to teammates. She uses a tough euro move that is nearly impossible to defend and has a nice three point stroke.
Jaslene Big Crow PF/C 6’1 2026 Cleveland/NM
A stronger post player is a tough cover. She rebounds well and will score on put backs. She can score it inside with cuts to the hoop and has good hands to finish. She also has a nice drop step to go along with multiple counter moves to free herself up for two points.
Audrey Bhesania Audrey Bhesania 5'11" | SF Sandra Day O'Connor | 2026 State AZ Sandra Day O’Connor
Arguably the top performer was Co-MVP of the showcase. The point forward makes smart reads to teammates and can score a variety of ways. She can shoot the three with deep range, scores on put backs, will hesitate and get to the basket, uses the floater game, takes long strides to the rim and she is very smooth on the break. She will collect steals and blocks shots near the rim.
