All rejoining very competitive programs, we are likely to see these guards throughout the regular season and postseason.
Mayer is an active floor spacer for one of Colorado Springs more consistent programs. Active getting ahead early on before the defense could set up, the guard is especially proactive in transition. Attempting roughly 1/3 of Palmer Ridge’s three point attempts, there is no doubt Mayer will be a crucial aspect for this group’s floor spacing. Defensively, Mayer is an active help defender, getting into position to wall off driving lanes early. With high hands on contests, the guard truly maximizes her defensive impact however possible.
Isenbart has played a large role in Kit Carson’s recent success. Possessing notable fluidity at the wing, the forward has shown repeated value as a shotmaker on all three levels. Able to rise up for pull-up jumpers in the mid-range, the guard is capable of flowing into shots off of ball screens or a self-created move. Additionally, the forward is an effective scorer on short fadeaways, providing excellent footwork out of the mid-range. Her shooting range stretches out beyond the arc, most effective on spot-up attempts. Fairly dependable handling the ball with either hand, Isenbart has shown value attacking the rim following a closeout, effective finishing by contests. On a few occasions, she displayed playmaking value to rolling teammates, hitting them over the top accurately for easy finishes at the rim.
Pelt shows capabilities as a playmaker with the ball, comfortable attacking the rim off the bounce. Possessing a quick first step off the bounce, the guard is effective at finding her spots within the arc, quickly getting to pull-ups and floaters. They do a great job reading the floor, slowing down if the paint becomes walled off or picking up the pace when an opening reveals itself. Equally willing to attempt three point attempts off the catch, Pelt shows value as a multi-level scorer going into her final season with Mesa Ridge. Taking on a large role for the former 16-8 group, Pelt will have plenty of opportunities to showcase her well-rounded skill set.
Colopy possesses a quick, compact shooting form that may be leveraged off the catch or while stepping into shots. Previously her team’s leading volume three point shooter at 119 attempts beyond the arc, the guard looks to provide value stretching the defense for driving teammates. Colopy does an excellent job of keeping her eyes up while attacking the rim, often to find cutting teammates around the basket. Colorado Springs Chrsitian boasts quite a few impactful ball handlers and quick decision makers, set up for immense success yet again this season. Her defensive value cannot be overlooked either, effective trapping opponents and quickly helping when available.
