Paige Breuer Paige Breuer 5'7" | CG Bismarck | 2024 State ND : 5’7 BHS Guard- There is so many good things to say about Breuer it’s really hard to pick one thing that stands out. On the floor when it comes to Shooting, Passing, a quick first step and a great court IQ she is about as impactful as they come, and is an asset to any team she is on. Breuer is an absolute work horse who devotes a ton of her time into her game, and it has definitely shown over the last couple of years. Last year she shot 44% from the field, averaged 14PPG, and was the best in the WDA with Free Throws at 87%. Breuer’s ball handling skills and ability to not only create opportunities for her team, but also connect on her own really make her a fantastic player. She’s one of the best PG’s in ND and there is a reason for it, if you can get out and watch her I recommend doing so, Shes fun and talented to say the least.
Jersey Berg Jersey Berg 5'11" | SF Bismarck | 2024 State ND : 5’11 BHS Forward- Berg is another high-level athlete coming out of BHS and she has proven to everyone she can be an absolute menace on the floor. Berg has good size to her, she is strong, but she is also smooth and very smart on the floor. Her overall game is fun to watch, and she has a nice “swagger” to her on the floor, she is confident rightfully so. Berg is a proven shooter and has time and time again made teams pay for leaving her open from behind the arc, but also drives the lane fiercely looking for a foul, or a nice soft touch off the backboard. Adding her with Breuer is a great combo that can be hard to contain, and defensively Berg is relentless. I like everything about her game, and her confidence she brings to the floor. A leader and an impactful player to say the least, I expect her to have a big year in her Senior season!
Eden Fridley Eden Fridley 5'9" | CG Bismarck Century | 2024 State ND : 5’9 G Century- We all know the name Fridley in the WDA, for good reasons as well. Eden is a high-level ATHLETE, not just a Basketball player. On a court, or on the track she is one of the most overall athletic players you will see in the WDA and has made her mark at Century High. As for Basketball this season, look for her to be the leader on the floor for the Patriots this season, and really push her teammates and the tempo of the game. Fridley packs a ton of skills in her bag from dribbling, shooting to rebounding as well. She has decent size to her and isn’t afraid to get in the paint and rip down boards, but she can also knock down shots from all over the floor. She is a great asset on the court and has the ability to change a game quickly. She is another fun one to watch will brings a lot of excitement to games.
Zoie Austin Zoie Austin 5'7" | CG Bismarck Century | 2025 State ND : 5’8 G Century- I’ve always said Austin is one of the best on ball defenders in the WDA, if not North Dakota. Austin is purely relentless and will not back down from anyone, or a challenge to say the least. Another pure athlete Austin brings a ton of good qualities to the floor as well, but one of her best abilities is her quick hands, and feet that she uses greatly, pressuring the ball and forcing turnovers that she sprints back down the court for an easy lay-up. Aside from that, she has really developed her shot and can knock um’ down as well. I think this year you’ll see her shooting the ball way more, but also looking to find open teammates with her skilled passing as well. Austin is a great player and an absolute work horse that is unselfish who leaves everything on the floor. I’m excited to see what she will do this Winter, she’s packed with talent and has a great drive to succeed.
Whitney Welk Whitney Welk 5'7" | PG Bismarck Legacy | 2025 State ND : 5’8 G Legacy- Welk has REALLY came along way with her game over the last few years and you can tell she has put plenty of effort into improving her overall game. Over the Summer I was able to watch her a few times and she isn’t anyone a team wants to sleep on. Welk has great speed, a fluid shot from 10-15′ but also is known to hit um’ from behind the arc as well. Along with that she packs a really nice floater she knows how to use very well when driving the lane and has a “don’t back down” mind set. Welk overall is a very skilled player that is due for a BIG year and will be a big help to the Saber’s this Winter. Another fun player you will want to watch, that can pack a big punch.
Brooklynn Felchle Brooklynn Felchle 6'3" | C Bismarck Legacy | 2025 State ND ” 6’3 Center Legacy: The 2nd Team All-Stater and recent SDSU Commit is coming back, and looking to do even more damage than she did last year. One of the top players in the Class of 2025 had a great sophomore year all around and led the State in FG% with 61%. Felchle has great size, strength and a really nice fluid shot that has proven to be deadly from 10′ around the rim. She can rip down boards, go up strong and make teams pay on the inside. What she did as a sophomore was impressive, what she will do this year…..is scary to think about. She will be the focal point for the Sabers this season and you can expect her to be coming in ready to leave her mark. Felchle is truly a gifted player, that you will want to watch, she does so many good things on the floor and is one of those players that can truly turn a game around with her presence on the floor. A top player with a great personality to add, SDSU is getting a good one!
