The lead guard can quickly get downhill with the ball, accelerating quickly from the first step. Possessing a large scoring volume from last season, Jackson attempted 184 free throws, accumulating roughly 1/3 of Vista Peak’s total attempts and first within the Denver Preps league. The guard has improved her free throw and three point percentages year by year, with improved efficiency in these areas Jackson could be a rising scorer this season. Defensively, the lead guard has a wide reach matching up with both backcourt opponents. Jackson will compete for the top spot within the Denver Preps league, another showcase year ahead for the program.
Snodgrass possesses excellent timing on the glass, consistently maximizing her wide reach to be a generator of second chance opportunities. The forward does a great job establishing position around the basket, active on putbacks. Willing at putting pressure on the rim, Snodgrass was effective on backdoor cuts, making herself available off-ball. Snodgrass was a prolific shot blocker last season, at 4.7 per game. Plenty of intrigue for the forward, following 6.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Vondracek has shown upside as a spot-up shooter, possessing a quick shot release. The guard will be an important floor spacer for this group, previously second in three point attempts for Northfield. The guard is a confident shooter off the catch, actively letting shots fly when given the opportunity from a rotating defense. Her role spacing the floor will be incredibly valuable for a group seeking additional consistency and volume for their halfcourt offense.
Tongatua is a consistent contributor for Groff, active in setting up the offense following a defensive rebound. The guard does an excellent job utilizing her strength on defense, quickly getting over on help to contest shot attempts. The guard is actively digging opponents into their hips, getting low to force opponents off their line. Tongatua shows value attacking downhill, often maximizing her opportunities with the ball as a facilitator. By recognizing open lanes while keeping her eyes up on drives, Tongatua will be a proactive facilitator for a competitive group in the Denver Prep league. Her continued growth as a perimeter shooter will be an area worth tracking, given her strength and value with the ball.
Mims shows value attacking the glass, creating plenty of second chance opportunities for Regis Groff. The guard has shown value attacking opponents off the catch, after gaining a head of steam. Capable of playing as a complementary scorer within the offense, Mims’ upside has yet to be realized.
A highly impactful defender out on the perimeter, Herron will provide immense value matching up with opponents in the halfcourt. Proving effective at jumping passing lanes on risky passes from opponents, the guard has a high IQ seeing the floor. Another area of value is her point of attack defense, getting low with active hands.
