AZ Girls Report Rising Stars Camp: Standouts Pt. 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On October 8th, I attended the AZ Girls Report <strong>Rising Stars Camp</strong> presented by <em>Ron Coleman</em>. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Here, I take a look at more of the standouts from this event. </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='639464' first='Cynthia' last='Tewksbury'] <strong>Canyon View (Featured Image)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tewksbury is a pure point guard, and she showed just that. She got to the lane and set up teammates repeatedly for easy layups. On defense, she played well and showed very active hands. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='660218' first='Shanielle' last='Mallory']<strong> Kellis</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mallory is a tough guard who scored in a variety of ways. She has range that extends well beyond the three-point line. She also showed a nice floater when she got into the lane. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='599374' first='Savannah' last='Helms'] <strong>Sandra Day O'Connor</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Helms is a crafty ballhandler who makes passes from all over the court. She threw passes full court on a line and dropped dimes in traffic. Her court vision is among the best around. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='788014' first='Isabella' last='Jensen'] <strong>Dobson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Isabella is a player who played at a good pace and showed good offensive moves. She displayed the ability to go left as well as a nice mid-range game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='788003' first='Lia' last='Sims'] Central</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sims was a pleasant surprise at the event. She displayed athleticism that shined both on offense and defense. On offense, she attacked the paint aggressively. On defense, she had good hands and rebounded very well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
