It was a great night of action featuring the semi final and championship games along with an all star game with PEM Smoke Session Fall League standouts. Let’s take a look at some of the shooters from the night.
Reese Fritz continues to show off her strong shooting knocking down shots around the perimeter. She even had a four point play scoring a three pointer through contact. She makes nice cuts flashing in the paint catching the pass and scoring points. She is constantly moving to get open knowing how to make the defense shift, and her playmaking serves as leadership for her teammates.
Highlights
Kierra Morrow was showing her IQ flashing all across the court looking for the opening and getting the pass. She is so strong with the ball attacking the basket getting to the rim. She didn’t need to drive to the hoop, though, as she can definitely knock down her shot from around the perimeter which she did on multiple occasions. On defense, she comes out of nowhere deflecting passes protecting the basket.
Samantha Shehan was doing it all for her team getting inside the paint to grab the pass or rebound and score off of that. She handles the ball well attacking the paint from the top of the key. She continues to show off her stroke from deep, too, putting up a quick release to score. She hit a big three pointer at the end of regulation tying up the game sending her team to overtime for a chance to make it to the championship.
Highlights
Kelsey Rhyne continues to show how she is one of the top shooters in the state making them from anywhere around the perimeter even off fast breaks. Her shooting brings a lot of energy to her team making them late in close games to gain the lead. She was getting her hands in the way at the top of the key on defense grabbing steals to push the other direction.
