Samantha Shehan Samantha Shehan 6'0" | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC of course showed off her range shooting the ball, and her quick release continued to be difficult to defend. She did a nice job cleaning up the glass on the offensive side putting it right back up for two. She explodes up the court to get the pass on a fast break scoring with ease even flying at full speed.

Samantha Shehan Samantha Shehan 6'0" | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC came out firing knocking down three three pointers in the first quarter. She has such a quick release making it difficult for anyone to close out quickly, and hands in her face don’t deter her from taking the shot. Her length was an asset on defense grabbing steals to take the other direction including scoring three the old fashioned way.

Shehan has range on her jumper from the moment she walks in the gym. Her footwork is fantastic, and she has a quick release on her jumper. She is challenging to guard because she can shoot from several feet behind the three-point line or drive past defenders to the rim with a quick first step. Around the basket, Shehan can finish with either hand. As a leader and competitor, she plays a vital role on the floor for Lake Norman.

Samantha Shehan Samantha Shehan 6'0" | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC continues to show off her range shooting the ball knocking it down no matter where she is around the perimeter. Her quick release is still tough for people to defend. She’s tough herself on defense going after the ball tying it up and making her opponents work for their points to get to the basket.

Samantha Shehan surpassed her 1000th point this season with Lake Norman, and she’s been doing it by scoring on all three levels throughout her career. Her ability to quickly release her shot with confidence is difficult for others to guard, and she doesn’t stop moving looking for the next opening. She can get to the basket, too, showing off some nice footwork and floaters to score her points in the paint.

Samantha Shehan has been dominant on the court for Lake Norman in the 2023-2024 season. She has been shooting the basketball with confidence, creating for her teammates, and rebounding with urgency on both offense and defense. Shehan has a super-quick release and can shoot from deep behind the three-point line. When the defender goes under a ball screen while guarding Shehan, she reads the defense and drains the outside shot. She is an outstanding junior with huge potential on the court for the Wildcats.

Finishing the game with 17 points, Samantha had an excellent night for the Lady Wildcats on both ends of the floor. Samantha is so very active. She doesn’t stop moving. As soon as you think you know where she is, she’s gone. She will execute a back door cut for an easy layup and leave you scratching your head. She puts so much pressure on the defense as she can score the ball from all over. She can shoot right over the top of guards and bigs alike. Despite being such a strong shooter, she has no problem sticking her nose in the paint and she will rebound the ball and go up strong at the rim. She follows up her shot and she will defend and the length of the court. Samantha has such a tenacious approach to the game and she just stays in attack mode all game long. I would love to see the recruitment pick up for the Shehan twins as there are a number of programs that can benefit from what they can potentially add to a program.

Samantha Shehan was showing off her range of post moves to get the inside look and bucket. She did a nice job sliding in front of passes grabbing the steal and pushing it right up the court. She was hustling up the court on fast breaks scoring through contact.

Shehan can shoot lights out. Lightening quick release on the ball and her constant movement gives defenders problems. Her size at the position allows is a mismatch nightmare as she can get inside and shot right over the top of opponents. Operates very well off the pick and roll and can defend.
