Our preseason previews across New Jersey continue in this article as we discuss the Burlington County Scholastic League once again. Kind of hidden amongst the rest of the state, the BCSL has some legit talent, some that we've discussed already. We'll be looking at more in this article, our second Players to Watch article for the league.

[player_tooltip player_id='583465' first='Mya' last='Jackson'] - Delran (2025)

Jackson has a fantastic opportunity in front of her as she comes into the season as the highest returning scorer for Delran. Three impact players graduated in the spring, leaving Jackson in the spotlight as the expected captain and leader as a junior. She brings with her a lot of interior production on both sides of the ball, plus some great on-ball defense that the Bears will need to stay competitive.

[player_tooltip player_id='588671' first='Saniyah' last='Spell'] - Trenton Catholic (2024)

This is not quite the Trenton Catholic team you've seen from seasons past, but the Iron Mikes have some bonafide stars on their team, highlighted by Spell, a senior who averaged 14.6 PPG last season, her best scoring output by far. Spell can light it up from beyond the arc or can just as easily make things happen in the interior. She's going to be a Player of the Year candidate in the BCSL this season no doubt.

[player_tooltip player_id='406932' first='Aneesa' last='Artis'] - Burlington City (2024)

The senior class of the BCSL is a really impressive one, and Artis is a big part of that, a fantastic offensive talent over the past two seasons for Burlington City. She comes off a year averaging 14.2 PPG, able to work in and out in the lane and around the arc. She's a poised player, someone with great maturity who can find her place to score and create. It has made her into a all-conference, all-region prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='488769' first='Samara' last='Johnson'] - Doane Academy (2024)

Doane is coming off a rough year last season, finishing 6-15 and below .500 in league play as well. A saving grace for the Spartans is [player_tooltip player_id='488769' first='Samara' last='Johnson'], a sharp-shooter who knocked down more than two three-pointers a game and nearly 13 points a game offensively overall. Johnson can make things happen inside the lane, but her three-point success is what makes her such a dangerous player to play against.

[player_tooltip player_id='600882' first='Olivia' last='Stillwell'] - New Egypt (2026)

Payton Arnold was the story for New Egypt last season, but with her graduating in the spring, new faces have to step up into the limelight. Enter [player_tooltip player_id='600882' first='Olivia' last='Stillwell'], a sophomore forward who showed a lot of promise as a freshman. In a relatively small sample size, just 25 games, she averaged 4.9 points a game and 6.8 rebounds a game, racking up defensive success as well down on the block. She'll have another 2026 prospect in [player_tooltip player_id='600881' first='Madison' last='Adam'] to share the frontcourt for the Warriors, an underrated forward tandem to keep tabs on.

[player_tooltip player_id='414315' first='Karina' last='Harrison'] - Northern Burlington (2025)

The rise of the shooting guard in high school basketball has been ever-present in recent years, and Northern Burlington guard [player_tooltip player_id='414315' first='Karina' last='Harrison'] has made a name for herself from beyond the arc. Nearly two made threes a game while scoring more than 10 points per game as a sophomore, Harrison was the top shooter for the Greyhounds, and brings with her more experience and basketball IQ this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='669301' first='Kimora' last='Truitt'] - Pennsauken (2026)

Pennsauken might have not had the best season overall last year, but they have some big time pieces returning this season, including a freshman guard in [player_tooltip player_id='669301' first='Kimora' last='Truitt'] who impressed almost immediately. Great shooter, great scorer, and a smart player with the ball. Truitt got to the line often, showing off an aggressive style of play combined with great court awareness, and she just looks hungry for the ball every time, ready to deliver when the lights shine brightest.
