City Slam: Contest Results

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The City Slam had a couple of very interesting competitions on the girls part of the gym. There was a highly contested 3 point competition and a game of Lightning. The 3 point contest featured some lights out shooting while the game of Lightning was a barrage of makes with really only bad bounces putting players out. She was lights out in all 3 rounds of the 3 point contest. Wallace even hit 8 of 10 volleyball line triples in the finals to secure the win. In the second round she caught fire, hitting 19 out of 25 triples. She ended up finishing 2nd in both the 3 point contest and the game of lightning. Her shot was smooth and confident throughout. Hauffe was very good in the Lightning contest as well. If the rim would have been just a bit kinder, she could have taken home the title. She's going to be a terrific multi level scorer this season, that's for sure. Her performance in Lightning, with her mid range jumper and quickness, was very impressive. Dottery was outstanding in the 3 point contest as well. She advanced to the second round and made a run at making t he championships. She more than held her own and has a jumper that will definitely become a strength. Schmidt was really good in the lightning competition as well, showing a nice mid range shot.
