It brings me so much joy to see these athletes find a home for the next step of their careers after countless hours perfecting their craft on the court. Let’s take a look at some more of those athletes who have announced their next step after high school.
Lili Booker has been a high motor guard who always goes 100% in every game that she plays. She’s aggressive on defense knowing how to grab steals and push the other direction. She’s quick with the ball, and she can make the perfect passes up the court helping her teammates score in transition. She is constantly moving even without the ball finding the open look staying ready to show off her shot off the pass.
Dot Mills has been an excellent ball handler leading the charge for her teams controlling the tempo, setting up effective offensive sets, and scoring off her own moves. She finds her open teammates seeing the floor well making nice adjustments to get the ball into her post players. She does a nice job moving around the perimeter showing off her range with her shot.
Charlotte Torgerson has been showing off her ability to shoot beyond the arc for her entire high school career. She shows a lot of versatility between her high school team and travel team over the past several seasons showing how she can step in and fill the role her team needs whether she is handling the ball or facilitating plays on the wings. Her IQ is apparent with the way she knows how to get a pass to her teammates or fill in the gaps herself to make sure her team gets some points.
Gracynn Gough is another athlete that has shown a lot of progression over her high school career. She has been a piece of the best front court in the state, but she isn’t limited to playing on the block. In addition to strong post moves and her ability to rebound, she can handle the ball around the perimeter attacking the basket or showing off her range. Her energy is contagious on the court, and she will certainly be ready to show off her leadership abilities at the next level.
