Legacy Christian ran the table last season in the league, and they have plenty of firepower and newcomers to be the favorite to repeat. Middletown Christian is also a team with players returning to put pressure on LC for the title. Keep an eye on Dayton Christian under a new head coach looking to turn things around.
5 Players to Watch
Alli is the reigning co-Player of the Year in the conference for the defending league champions Legacy Christian. She averaged 8.5 points per game, but contributed to her teams success in many other ways including four assists and four steals per game. Solid skillset and continuing to grow her game.
Her game has really blossomed with a good summer, a solid player in the paint with good range. Madison runs the floor and around the rim she is very effective with the ball in her hands. Protects the rim and has good footwork. Expect a big year from Madison! (feature photo above)
Hannah Geis
Hannah Geis
Hannah put together a very solid season for the much-improved Middletown Christian team who finished second in the conference, She shared the league Player of the Year award with Alli Graces of LC. Finished with 8 double-doubles on the season playing in the middle. She moves well and has a nice soft touch at the rim. She shot over 50% from the field and is a solid post defender and rebounder. Averaged 14.3 points and just over 9 rebounds per game last season.
Yamiyah Craver
Yamiyah Craver
Looks to become a solid leader as the top returning player for DC. New coach Aaron Bock expects a different look and atmosphere this season with some kids stepping up their game. Yamiyah is a strong guard who can get to the rim and finish, or drop a three point shot on the defense. Able to use her body well to create contact according to her coach and that will allow her help her team by getting to the free throw line.
Ali Solomon
Ali Solomon
She only played a half season last year after transferring in from Springfield Shawnee and sat out her required 11 games. During her time on the court, Ali was a big contributor averaging just under 9 points per game and nearly 6 rebounds, Expect her game to grow this season with a group of solid newcomers and key returners coming back.
