With travel teams holding tryouts during league play, there were new opportunities for some to shine out from the shadows. Here are the girls who really brought their “A” game during the Legacy Fall League morning session on Sunday, October 15th.
Never have I ever. We have all played this ice breaker before. Never have I ever seen a shooter score with that level of accuracy from 3 point range before Sunday. Gabby Piepho Gabby Piepho CG Howell | 2026 State MI made 6 of 7 three point attempts in the first half! Her makes came from right, left, and top of the arc, off the catch and the dribble. She added a few contested layups to the mix and assists along the way. Gabby had 21 in the first half and showed why full deny no help strategies exist.
Bella Sapia
Bella Sapia
2026 PF/Wing Bella Sapia from Stevenson is a lengthy, strong flex post who continues to impress when I see her play. She is very strong and effective in the low post using pivots, sealing, and high finishes on both sides of the basket. Bella blocks shots, controls the boards, and also has the ability to handle the ball baseline to baseline with both hands. She can face up and attack downhill to the rim. Highlights: contested drive finish, pivot left strong finish off the glass, left finish off both feet, plus vision and effective high entry pass into post, moves effectively without the ball. Bella had an outstanding Sunday and is a prospect to keep your eyes on for Stevenson this winter.

Chloe Thompson Chloe Thompson SG Hill McCloy Highschool | 2024 State MI
Chloe Thompson Chloe Thompson SG Hill McCloy Highschool | 2024 State MI is a 2024 SG from Hill Mccloy who hit clutch shots for the Michigan Magic Sunday in a close battle with Dexter. She made multiple contested 3 point shots during the game including a buzzer beater 3 pointer to end the game with a hand in her face. Chloe converted another deep 3 from the wing despite being fouled on the attempt. Chloe faced up and crossed over her defender on a drive to the basket, making the contested layup. Chloe had an excellent day and is someone to watch this winter with Hill Mccloy.
2026 CG Addison Chase Addison Chase 5’7″ | PG Dexter | 2026 State MI was thrust into a leading role for Dexter Sunday and led her team to victory in game one. Addison made a picture perfect catch and release 3 pointer from the corner off of a BLOB with a hand in her face. She stole a pass at half court and then scored a contested layup in transition. Addison hit another 3 pointer from the top of the key and put the game on ice by converting 3/4 free throws to end the game. Chase is an outstanding prospect at Dexter who will continue to impress this winter.
Highlights
2024 Emma Chapelle is a SG from Trenton who continues to dominate with Michigan Magic at the Legacy league. She did it all and showed her ability to play the lead role on Sunday. Her quick closeouts deflected shots and made shooting difficult for Dexter. She missed a shot, pursued the rebound then passed to a teammate for a 3. Highlights: rebound coast to coast finish at rim, fake pass euro layup draws the foul, scoop and one finish at the rim: make free throw, close out block, transition full court assist. Emma is a prospect coaches at the next level should be taking a look at right now.
