Carter is an elite talent in Michigan and that was easy to see last weekend. I love how naturally aware she was of her hand placement on the ball before shooting. Carter smoothly rotated it so she was comfortable and under control when shooting.
Miller is one of the best all around shooters in the state. At the showcase, it was her release point that caught my eye. It was consistent on every shot. Whether on the move, wide open, or in traffic, her release point stayed consistent providing her with comfort and feel.

While Zajac can always draw attention to her game with her combination of power and touch, her jumper deserves recognition as well. She look perfectly comfortable from behind the arc off the catch and shoot. Zajac will cause some real matchup problems through her high school career.

Jillian Sanderson
Jillian Sanderson
Jillian Sanderson is a name that the Michigan basketball community should become very familiar with. She’s an athletic shooter that goes so smoothly from catch through release. Sanderson was a knock down shooter, especially from the corners this weekend.
Bullinger definitely made a statement with her game at the showcase. We all kind of know that she can shoot, but she added to that on Sunday. Bullinger showed that she could shoot while on the move, whether it be a pull up jumper or hitting the open spot on the perimeter and shooting off the catch.
Piepho had herself a day in Ann Arbor. Her jumper looked really good to say the least. Piepho made sure she was comfortably squared and eyes on the rim before every shot. Every aspect of her jumper was smooth as could be.
Farr has always been a shooter, but she just keeps getting better at it as well. Her jumper is just really tough to defend. She can get it off quickly and isn’t fazed by defenders closing out.
Highlights
Brumfield was excellent at the showcase and her shooting was definitelyone of the reasons why. She showed excellent footwork when receiving the ball in a catch and shoot situation. Brumfield stayed balanced throughout.
Hitt sent a message with her shooting last Sunday. I think the best way describe her jumper that day is “clean”. Every aspect of her shot just seemed to work. Hitt caught the ball cleanly and didn’t rush as she consistently buried shots.
