2027s – Nothing But Net

Here are our selecction on what we have seen since the kids have started playing in the preseason.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027, 5'6, PG, Ontario Christian HS, [player_tooltip player_id='773677' first='Kaleena' last='Smith'] </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaleena can score, that is all I really can say, she is very well capable of running the lead guard spot with very much success, but you cannot take away from her flare to be a scoring point guard, she is going to find a way to put the ball in the hole. She is capable of shooting the three pointer at a very high clip, but when we watched her this past weekend and in debut a few weeks earlier, she was distributing the ball and making her teammates look really good. To me, she will even this out and score the ball in spurts, she will find the correct balance to show off her shooitng ability. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027, 6'0, CG, San Clemente HS, [player_tooltip player_id='773718' first='Kiley' last='Husbands']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kiley showed us numerous times she is a three point threat on any occassion, she can hit the three pointer whenever she wants, we watch her step over the half-court line and take two dribbles and knock down a three, she has some range at a very young age, this kid is amazing. We watched her numerous times, but I will tell you now, when the three point percentages come out, she will be in the high 30s. She might even surprise us all and be in the 40s. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027, 5'9, CG, Harvard Westlake HS, [player_tooltip player_id='843786' first='Angelina' last='Habis']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Angelina is a smooth lefty, most lefty are always smooth anyway, but she is impressive on the floor in many ways and she is also a consistent shooter from the three point line. She has a nice stroke on her shot and she is more than capable of shooting about 40% this year from behind the arc. She makes plays when she needs to for her team, but when she catches an sets her feet, it is nothing but net. We cannot wait to prove that we were right about her shooting ability when those percentages come out later in the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027, 5'6, CG, Burroughs HS, [player_tooltip player_id='843789' first='Claire' last='Hackney'] </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Claire has a very good IQ for her age, she recognizes the times to score and time to get teammates involved on the floor. She is a very consistent shooter on the floor and we expect her to show us her 40+ percentage shooting from three point line this year, we are more than confident in how she will pull that off, we have already seen 50+ % shooting this year in the preseason. She is a paint threat and can score and draw contact and finish, she is a problem on the floor.<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
