Two schools, state qualifier Hayden and Iola dropped from 4A. Two schools, St. Mary’s and Bluestem, moved up from 2A. They replace Scott City, Concordia, Eureka, and Maur Hill Mount Academy. Below is a look at some players to know from each of the four teams
Bluestem
Holli Emmons Holli Emmons PG Fredonia | 2024 State KS , PG, 2024 – Emmons has lateral quickness and very quick hands defending the ball.
Tinley Lovesee, PG/SF, 2025 – The lengthy Lovesee, a Tri-Valley League honorable mention selection, is fast with the ball and is a quality perimeter threat with a quick trigger.
Hayden
Kaliyah Fulton Kaliyah Fulton 5'8" | CG Hayden | 2025 State KS , 5’6″, PG, 2025 – A Centennial League honorable mention selection Fulton has brings good strength, poise, and solid handles to the table.
Norma Greco Norma Greco 5'4" | CG Hayden | 2025 State KS , 5’6″, CG, 2025 – A Centennial League honorable mention Greco has quick hands and good off-ball peskiness on defense
Brylee Meier Brylee Meier 6'0" | PF Hayden | 2025 State KS , 5’11”, PF, 2025 – The Centennial League second team and Varsity Kansas 4A honorable mention selection is a strong presence around the basket. She moves well, post strongly, and is proficient at putting together double moves. She is also a strong perimeter threat.
Lauren Sandstrom Lauren Sandstrom 6'1" | CG Hayden | 2024 State KS , 6’0″, CG, 2024 – A returning Centennial League first teamer Sandstrom also was a KBCA and Varsity Kansas 4A honorable mention selection. A solid finisher in transition and half court she has good hands, goes coast-to-coast with control, and uses her size to advantage inside. Good physicality on both ends with a mature post game.
Iola
Reese Curry, PF, 2025 – The solidly built Curry is a solid shot blocker with good length and north-south speed.
Kerington Dorsey, SF, 2025 – Dorsey can go end-to-end and finish at speed. She also will get the assist in transition, hitting a teammate on the fly.
St. Mary’s
Hayden Heim Hayden Heim 6'3" | PF St. Marys | 2025 State KS , 6’2″, PF, 2024 – Heim is a nice combination of size and athleticism. She is a returning Mid-East League and KBCA first team selection. she also made Varsity Kansas’s third team. A consistent double-double generator with good interior quickness and finishing ability.
Isabel Hurla Isabel Hurla 5'7" | SG St. Marys | 2025 State KS , 5’7″, SG, 2025 – This past season Hurla shot 34% from three point land while averaging 8.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 steals.
Catherine Moylan Catherine Moylan 5'5" | SG St. Marys | 2024 State KS , 5’5″, PG, 2024 – Moylan is a solid three point shooter (career 32%) as well as distributor. She averaged 7.6 points and 1.7 assists. She is also a career 72% free throw shooter.
Brenna Smith, 2024 – Mid-East League second team. Varsity Kansas 2A honorable mention
