<p>The majority of teams begin their season on Friday, December 1. With the wintery weather this weekend it made it easy to stay inside and want to write scouting reports previewing the upcoming season.</p>

<p>Here is a look at some of the top returning scorers at Class IA DII schools.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='649176' first='Zoie' last='Redgate']</strong>, 5'5”, PG, Attica, ‘25</p>

<p>Redgate had a solid scoring season for the Attica Bulldogs as a sophomore. She averaged 15.6 points per game in 21 contests. Her stat line from last season was impressive as it also included averages of 5.1 rebounds, 5.7 steals, and three assists per game.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='453780' first='Anna' last='Thielen']</strong>, 5'4”, PG, Russell, ‘24</p>

<p>Thielen averaged 15.5 points per game as a junior and will look to improve on that total for the Wilson Dragons during her senior season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='606257' first='Sydnie' last='Jones']</strong>, 5'9” SG, Bucklin, ‘24</p>

<p>Jones is a three-sport prospect at Bucklin. She averaged 14.9 points per game in 25 games played as a junior. The senior is also a big-time rebounder who averaged 6-plus rebounds per game for the Red Aces.</p>

<p><strong>Breanna Rivers</strong>, 5'7”, SG, Pike Valley, ‘25</p>

<p>Rivers has a legit knack for scoring points. As a sophomore, she scored 13.5 points per game in 19 games played. That was an increase from her freshman total of 11.7 points per game in 20 games played for the Panthers.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='649175' first='Anna' last='Jueneman']</strong>, 5'6” G/F, Hanover, ‘25</p>

<p>Jueneman is an exciting prospect. She is a solid basketball and volleyball prospect. She averaged 13 points per game as a sophomore. She had a bulging stat line during her sophomore season with 3.4 steals per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, and 2.9 assists per game for the Wildcats.</p>

<p><strong>Karoline Schroeder</strong>, 5'8”, PF, Wheatland-Grinnell, ‘24</p>

<p>Schroeder is a two-sport stud who had a quality senior season on the volleyball court. She returns to the basketball court for the Thunderhawks after averaging 11.6 points per game in 20 games played as a junior. Schroeder also averaged a double-double last season with a 10.1 rebound per game average.</p>

<p><strong>Mary Baird</strong>, 5'7”, F, Northern Valley, ‘24</p>

<p>Baird finished her junior campaign averaging 10.8 points per game for the Huskies. Baird is also a factor on the boards coming off a season in which she averaged 6.6 rebounds per contest.</p>

<p><strong>Brooke Bailey</strong>, 5'5”, G, Ingalls, ‘24</p>

<p>Bailey is a sneaky guard who averaged 10.6 points per game for Ingalls in 21 games played as a junior. She also is a factor near the glass as she averaged 6.7 rebounds per game in the 2022-2023 season.</p>

<p><strong>Taylor Denio</strong>, 5'4”, PG, Stafford, ‘24</p>

<p>Denio is a score-first point guard for Stafford. She scored 10.5 points per game in 13 games played as a junior and averaged just over one assist per game.</p>

<p><strong>Jaya Milburn</strong>, 5'6”, G, Ashland, ‘25</p>

<p>Milburn averaged 10.4 points per game for Ashland as a sophomore. She played in 21 games and improved her points per game average by almost a full two points from her freshman season.</p>
