SubscribeAs we continue to look at the MIami Valley Super 60, the top players in the Dayton and Miami Valley area, today we look at some of the great shooters to keep an eye on this season. Some can score from deep as the point guard, others play the off-guard spot for a reason, because they can fill it up from behind the arc!
She is part of a loaded Waynesville team and is their primary offensive threat. Katie can knock them down from anywhere on the floor and no place is safe if you are a defender. Also has very good handles and can contribute in a variety of ways. I expect another bigtime season for this talented guard.
Highlights
If you saw her in the summer, you saw Ashley knock down the threes from all around the arc. Now that Emma Neff has graduated, look for her production to increase in high school, which I think it has to for Oakwood to be successful. She moves well and is able to get open, giving her a chance to fire the rock from anywhere.

For a team with a lot of weapons at Urbana, Alex is a player who is a long and athletic wing who not only can handle the ball, she can knock them down from deep range. She is a consistent shooter and does a good job shooting off the pass. She gained a lot of experience as a freshman contributor and now is ready to have a breakout season. Coaches kid with a good basketball IQ.
Love her work ethic and her love for becoming a better player. Larkyn can fill it up from behind the arc and she can drop the three at anytime. Smart basketball IQ with a good court sense. Can get open, scores off the screen and can finish in the midrange. Only a junior, I expect her game to continue to grow.
I am big on her game, loved what she did as a freshman while she learned the game. With a year under her belt, I expect a bigger year from her. She can fly in transition and is a great passer. She can also knock down the three and scores on the quick shot. One of the top guards in her conference.
Next season Samara is headed to play her college ball at D2 Central State, but for now she looks to help lead Thurgood Marshall to the Dayton City League title. Not only a good defender and a smooth point guard, she also can drain the periemter shot from deep range. Wants her senior year to be her best. (featured photo above)
This young lady is a super talented guard headed to Edison State next season. Better known as one of the top point guards in the area, Rylie is also a solid shooter and scorer, with good range and not afraid to take the big shot. I love her leadership and desire to play hard and with energy. Able to defend well on-ball and make things happen.
Senior leader for a talented Wayne team, Morgyn has a repuation of being someone you better not leave open. But if you do, it won’t take long to learn your mistake. She has a good release and can score from behind the arc in a variety of spots on the floor. Extremely hard working player who can put her body on the line if the game gets physical. Smart player with a desire to win.
It is Jordans time to shine at Sidney as she takes over as the primary threat for the talented Yellow Jackets. Everytime I am at a game she plays, people around me are taking about her ability to light it up from the periemter and she can do that very well. Deep range with good body control and can beat you in multiple ways. Oh, and she is only a junior.
